How about..errr...hmm...Welcome people in a manner you yourself would like to be welcomed...hmm..maybe not..or...it costs nothing to welcome someone and the friendship you will recieve has no value.

Welcome Mellie! I believe there is a classic lit. thread in the literature section, just incase you'd like to visit that.  I am actually fond of Dickens myself but.......

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum, though I've looked at the site a lot. I've been a fan of Tolkien for little while, I read them last year, and I like his books a lot. The End. I'm not good at making these sort of things. ^.^
