Welcome to AU, Luthien!  I know my username says ~Indilwen~ right now, but normally it says Nerissa.  In approximately three or four days it'll be back to normal again. AU has been having the Hallowfest going on since the 17th, and everyone has changed their names so that they could go in disguise. Don't be surprised if you see a lot of crazy names around for a few more days! 
Well, in the tips department, just try to look around the board and make yourself comfortable with it. There are a lot of sections on it for just about every imaginable topic. Feel free to start posting away! If you have any questions, or you just want to chat, feel free to send me off a PM. I'm always ready to help!

Before I get too far, I want to be sure and explain something to prevent some confusion. My username is normally Nerissa, but I changed it to what it is now for the Hallowfest. A lot of people also changed their usernames for it, so that's why you're probably seeing a lot of strange names around the forum. Don't worry, in a couple days everything will be back to normal. 
I'm sure you'll fit in wonderfully here! If you ever have any questions about how the forum works, or you just want someone to chat with, feel free to PM me. By the way, do you like Korpiklaani?

Hey guys
I am new here though not new to the Tolkien world. I have been a fan since I was sixteen. I loaned Lord of the Rings from a friend of mine and read it. Then I said the famous words. "This would make a good movie". My friend giggled and told me that they were already making a movie and it would be out in few months. I was obsessed... still am mind you  .
I am 23, book worm and work as a trainee in library. I love coffee and rock and roll. If one wanted to label me, they would label me as gothpunkmetalhead. I think these were the most important facts about me.

I have to say that I am a forum addict. There are many forums I visit almost daily. So I can say that my experience is quite board. And this is one of the forums that feel home right away. It easy to approach.
