Well, perhaps not newly arrived... I have been reading for some time and only now have a moment to call m'own and to introducce m'self.

(With a slight bow of the head) I am Falma. An Old Soul that delights in a New Place to learn and share thoughts and Ideas. I am a long time lover of the "Rings" and only just now finding the need to learn it's languages. (Old dog and all that I suppose, Chuckle)

I am a creature of the Sea, in both bone and Soul, a Prof Swordswoman (Rapier dagger is what I prefer but a broadsword in limited use since I broke all my ribs a few years back) a Pirate and Renaissance reenactor for over 40 years. (Hey, I started young!) and Singer of tales.

I am looking forward to meeting new voices with things to share.

Indeed, very happy to be here. :bye2:

Well, many thanks lass.

Too much? (chuckle) I suppose that like an old Ent, I have too much to say and will in general, take a very long time to say it. :)

I will make a good effort to stay, at the very LEAST, interesting in my contributions. I am a Moderator on a few other sites and find I am very happy to simply post here, sit back, listen and share in the voices.

Besides, if I get too talky feel free to give me a nudge! :-D

lol...

Of course your intro wasn't too much! Actually, the Welcoming Team [see our thread] loves people who post long intros. It gives us something to talk about. All to often do we get a quick "i'm new....well thats it [followed by too many smilies to count]" and it's so hard then to start a conversation and make the new person feel welcome.

Oh, and boy do we like talky people who type long posts! If people wrote short posts life would be ever so dull.

So, since I see your one newbie you isn't shy would ya mind if I asked you some questions to get to know eachother?
[Of course you don't have to answer them]

How old are you?
Where are you from? [I'm thinking Scotland?]
Which is your fav book in the LotR Trilogy?
Which is your hav of the 3 movies?

I guess I'll answer those question too, so you can get to know me, alls fair then. :)

I'm 15.
I live in England.
My fav book is RotK.
My fav movie is RotK.

Talk to you later!

Sorry for the long postie! :bye2:

Aye, ask away lass.

How old are you?

In body or spirit??

Where are you from? [I'm thinking Scotland?]

Well done! I live in Califonria however I am Celt to the very bone. Irish, Scot and Welsh (Where the singing voice comes from or so they say)

Which is your fav book in the LotR Trilogy?

I'd not be able to pick one I fear. They all have *moments* that are shuddering and consuming.

Which is your hav of the 3 movies?

What? Are there three? Dear me... :duh: They flow together so exquisitly... I naturally thought it was one wonderful tale. Like the books, how could I choose!

I guess I'll answer those question too, so you can get to know me, alls fair then. :)

I'm 15.

A pleasure to meet you. My, I DO seem to be the Ent on this site! LOL!!

I live in England.

I've not been there for years... but have always loved the climate.

My fav book is RotK.
My fav movie is RotK.

Yes.... that is a special story to be sure!

Talk to you later!

Indeed lass and I will be here.

"Women who behave... rarely make History!"

Add to that I metioned that I am a prof. Swords Woman... yet to be faire, since you've not laid an eye to me (chuckle) it might be an easy mistake to make!

And I thank you for the welcome!

Hello, Falma! Welcome to the A-U forum! I'm Elenmir, also known as Miri. It's a pleasure to meet you. If you have any questions concerning the forum, please feel free to ask anyone of us. We'd be happy to help. :)

A Pirate and Renaissance reenactor? You must have quite an exciting life. Not like those of us who are plagued with meaningless homework and inescapable boredom. :confuzzled:

Well, being an older age does have it's benefits lass.. I can drive where I will and afford my silly vices so I can. I've been swordfighting since I was 8 year old. In fact, one of my teachers in years past was indeed Bob Anderson who did the fights for the LOTR films. (An amazing man)

But don't lament being bored. Hard as it seems to fathom now, the time will come when you will LONG for these days to be yours again! :bye2:

Tis very hard to choose, I know. Pete did a magnificent job on the lot of 'em. And Prof. Tolkien, I can't forget about him. Without him there wouldn't 'ave even been movies!

Tolkien... a man with so much wit and so much to share. So much wisdom. (Gasp!) He...he must have been an Ent! :)

Oh, well then. So glad to hear it! LOL! I'll look forward to it indeed.
