Hey I'm Banana_Republic and I'm obviously new around here. I've been a huge fan of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit since my mom read me the books when I was a kid. Unfortunately I only have one friend who really understands my obsession with LOTR so it will be good to talk to some other fans  . Most people haven't read the books and think the movies are too long  .Cheers. .

I know what you mean about people thinking the movies are too long.... they are people who obviously dont appriciate great literature! Feel free to call me WML....most people do! But anyway... each to his own. WELCOME to the site! I wouldn't mind them being any longer either. Someone thought I was crazy when I told her I could quote every line in all three movies because they are so long. Ok so maybe that is crazy but I can't help it I love them.  Of cousre I'm not sure if I could do that any more, at least not without watching the movies.
