My favorites are:
1. Thranduil. I'm so happy to see that not all Elves are perfect and serene and peaceful and forgiving and whatnot. This King want what's best for his country and acts upon that. Also, Lee Pace's portrayal does wonders for his likeability!
2. Galadriel. Because she's just awesome. Seriously, try to find some background information on her and read it. No wonder everyone thinks so highly of her.
3. Elrond. Because he's the perfect link between Men and Elves, being both wise and still a part of the 'real' world. And his library is amazing.

Agreed. Thranduil stoles Tauriel's place on my list.. Sorry, Tauriel, but you're not so awesome than your king.
