This is the first time I've heard the song or seen the music video, and I don't know what some people are complaining about. Once you see the video (that includes more clips from the prologue of AUJ than DOS, but I'm sure that's done because it fits in more with the title of the song), you'll see that it fits in with Tolkien's world just fine (or at least I think it does), especially since it's more from Thorin's (or the people of Dale) point of view when Smaug first attacked Erebor.

I love this song so much! It just fits right in to the atmosphere and mood of the Hobbit. The video was also great.

I like the song and the video was good as well... but I must admit. I just have a hard time getting the "middle earth feel" from the music.

Alone it's a great song... but in middle earth it's lost on me. lol


Each to their own, however. I know middle earth would be filled with a diversity of musicians just like todays world and there is no telling what would pop up!
