I don't cry when I hear the song per se but I do cry when you hear the notes of the chorus in Return of the King as Gandalf tells Pippin of the Undying Lands. So hauntingly beautiful!

It's definately a very powerful song. Very emotional for me. I don't think it's ever made me cry ... except maybe when I watch the movie. 
But every time I see the words "into the west," I of course always think of the song.

I cry when I watch the inspiration for it on the extended DVD's.  Such a beautiful story. The song itself is absolutely haunting and lovely, but doesn't move me to tears.

I think it's only made me cry during the credits, especially after a marathon where it feels like I've been as just as much of a journey as the hobbits. They couldn't have picked better music to finish the story and accompany the beautiful drawings. Definitely the most moving English-language song in the soundtrack

I LOVE that song!! It has to be one of my favorites! It is a very sad song and works good to put me in hte modd when I am writing in a sad part of one of my stories.... *sighs* Wish I had more time to do that now days...

It will always be a sign of Lord of the Rings for me. Maybe I don't cry while listening but its touching song and poitraits emotions. |

This song is one of the many from the LotR soundtrack that I listen to rather often. I love the lyrics and the instrumental backing is so beautiful too! |

I cried a few times, but that was because I had just listened to a different song that inspired tears and I wasn't done by the time Into the West came on. |

I almost cry every time... I love it so much.... The lyrics are so beautiful. I don't even know how to put it into words. I'm just gonna say than you Tolkien, Shore, and Lennox. I want this song played at my funeral.
