I don't know who may have seen or heard or missed it, but I for one cannot get enough of The Last Goodbye, performed by Billy Boyd. Of course I start crying every single time I hear it/try and sing it, so that's not awesome but nonetheless. What an amazing song. The lyrics are perfect, they're saying goodbye to this amazing saga, but at the same time they do underline that it's not over. I listen to it and hear "though these movies and books may be over, they still exist, you can still read/watch them, and so it doesn't really end". And that's why I cry every single time. I was in the car with my parents yesterday listening to it and mum turns from the front seat and goes "why are you crying, is something wrong?" and when I explained it she just chuckled and said "well, that's one way of reacting". But not in a mean sort of way, because she knows what a huge LotR fan I am. Heck, she even bought me the LotR towel and bedset I've got.
But for those who have missed the song, here it is:
(And on another note, I will be making a set to that song, I just need to figure out the mechanics and have enough energy to do the hard work that'll go into it in photoshop.)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8ir8rVl2Z4(Can't get the youtube commando to work, so a link it is....)
