There's a book, I got in in German and I don't know if it also exists in english: "Elbisch Lernen" by Helmut W. Pesch But there are also several websites to explain the grammar: http://home.netcom.com/~heensle/lang/elvish/elvish.html http://www.phy.duke.edu/~trenk/elvish/learn_elvish.html http://www.phy.duke.edu/~trenk/elvish/learn_elvish.html http://www.nevrast.net/middleearth.html |

If you want to learn online then I can't sugest any better than www.councilofelrond.com . You have to sign on, but it have short easy lessons for both Sindarin and Quenya. It also has a series of workbooks to go with each lesson, so you can practice what you've learnt. (I'm using this course) Also you could try Ardalambion http://www.uib.no/People/hnohf/ it has information on all of Tolkiens languages and an extensive Quenya course. (No Sindarin course though) I personally only advise this site if you the deepest depths of detail in every syllable (slight exaggeration) described. Useful site nonetheless. |

Go to the languages section, and select the workbook (on the navigation bars on the left) And start. Pick the language you want to learn, and start with the first lesson. when you are sure of what you read, got to the workbook questions, and fill ou the answers. Someone on the site will mark what you did, and tell you what, if anything, you got wrong. |
