I honestly don't know...I don't know how Gollum's effect and the Ring's influence would have combined to deceive me. I'd like to think I wouldn't have, though!
If you were Pippin, would you have offered fealty to Denethor?

Most probably, Pippin was not a very smart hobbit (no offence y'alls, I love Pippin, but it <i> is </i> true) and he felt guilty because of Boromir.
If you were Theoden, would you have refused going to Gondor's aid at first? (I almost wrote Mordor >.<)
