Well - at first he had no choice whatsoever, since the Ring was given to him. And in Rivendell he "volounteered" for it. I do, however, not think that I'd have his guts. So no, I'd never have dared.
If you were Gandalf, would you have uttered the words in the black tongue at the council of Elrond?

Probably. I'd have been pretty annoyed. But afterwards I probably would have sat down feeling all small and silly...
If you were Gandalf, would you have attempted the Redhorn Gate first or gone straight to Moria?

I'd have gone for the Redhorn Pass, definitely. I somehow think Gandalf knew what awaited them in Moria...
If you were Aragorn, would you have suggested that they went to fight at the gates of Mordor?

For Gandalf's death? No, I don't think so. It wasn't Pippin's fault, was it?
If you were Elrond, would you have allowed Frodo to be the Ringbearer?

(well, pip cause the body to fall, which caused the drums to sound, and so on...)
Yes, because as Elrond said, he saw the resilence that Frodo had and he would be the best and most unlikly person to bear the ring, which might have thrown off the dark lord.
If you where Gandalf, would you have stayed to fight the balrog?

No way, I would have been petrified of Gandalf sleeping with his eyes open and I would have chickened out right then and there
If you were Galadriel, would you have accepted Frodo's offer to give you the ring?

Maybe - if my friends were in danger.
If you were Theoden, would you stay at Edoras or go to Helm's Deep?

I'd definitely have gone to Helm's Deep - easilier defended He also knew that Helm's Deep had never been taken and he believed that it would stand this attack too - which it barely did...
If you were Smeagol, would you have killed Deagol to get the Ring?
