Heck yes! Elves may be prettier, but a Dwarf can beat and Elf in a drinking contest any day!
If you were Legolas, would you have surfed down the steps of Helm's Deep on nothing but a shield, killing Orcs as you went? (That was...........AWESOME!) (once again, kind of bad, but I couldn't think of anything else.)

I wouldn't have gone because Denethor told me, but I would have gone to defend my city and the people of my city.

I don't know. I'd like to say yes. But then again, I would be King of Rohan. I wouldn't want some Ranger of the North who "supposedly" the King of a completely different city telling me how to run things! I might noe be able to resist Aragorn though. And his decision would have been the wiser one. Although, I'd have no way of knowing that. 
if you were Gandalf, would you EVER have stayed to fight the Balrog? (I don't know about you guys, but I would have gotten the heck outta there!)
