Only if they were trying to kill me or someone I loved. Then, I have no choice really. It's them dying or me or the one I love dying, and out of those, I pick them dying. I would never want to kill anyone though, and I'd probably go crazy if I ever had to.
Would you ever jump into a river to save your friend, even though you couldn't swim and might cause both you and your friend to die? (sort of like Frodo and Sam, slightly different, sincde Frodo wouldn't have died)

Yes, I would've done almost anything to escape Uruk-hai!! And I still think I wouldn't have considered trees as scary as huge orcsesss with sharp pointy objects aimed at me!
