T.T. LDM expresseths her joy and biddeths me kindly to pass on her [and I quote LDM] utter thanks for the compliments-eth and also that I [being LDM] would with great bliss maketh banners for her [being you] as well...eth. [/end quote]
*coughcough*
Bottomline: LDM says thanks and also offers to make banners for you as well, and she's too lazy to contact you herself! There you go!

Well, look at it this way T.T. If Aerandir didn't push Frodo, Sauron might have gotten his Ring back and that would be the end of Frodo - and the rest of ME anyway.... or Frodo would have become Dark Lord and that would also be the end of ME....lol

Aerandir, as you can see of a later post of mine, I do understand your motives for pushing Frodoin... I'm just rather happy that you would be there at Mt. Doom and you would do the dirty job for me!! ;-)

Because my answer would probably be... no, I couldn't do it... weak as I am, I wouldn't have the heart to push Frodo - or any other - into a sea of lava. And naive as I might be, I would cling to a faint hope of another solution. Try to talk Frodo into casting the Ring away freely perhaps... or even if he kept the Ring for himself I would still live in the hope that he could either control the Ring or would eventually destroy it on his own... I would close my eyes for the bitter reality until someone else would do what was needed or I would perish under the shadow...

Would you ever go to a war you had little hope in returning from?

I'm very glad my compliments were appreciated. Just giving credit where credit is due. That's a great banner. :)

I could never EVER push anyone into a volcano, but especially not Frodo, whom I love. I understand your reasoning behind it, but there's one flaw: the one person who dies is FRODO. I love Frodo, therefore I wish for him to live. Besides, as I said, and Ea listed, there are alternatives to murder to getting him to give up the Ring. Even what Gollum did, biting off hios finger is more humane, since he doesn't actually die, and die a slow, excruciatingly painful death at that.

I would go to a war there was little hope in returning from if it was a War for a good cause, as the War of the Ring was. But if it was a stupid War, then of course not.

Would you ever......... jump off the cliff after Aragorn? (with the purpose of saving him or dying with him) (in case you were wondering)

Don't ever mess with Frodo in front of T.T. lol
By the way, I'm sure dying in lava is a pretty quick death...

No I wouldn't jump off that cliff shown in the movies, unless I had a very pronounced death wish (which the participants in this game would know by now, that I don't have ;-)). Jumping off there is downright suicide!
However, I might want to try and climb down to save him.

Would you have kept the shards of Narsil?

Of course I don´t want to be in a war and witness the suffering but on second thought I would go to war bearing the things in mind which are worth fighting for even if there´s little hope...so though it´s a hard decision.. I guess I would do it.

Would you have faith in the fellowship´s plan to get rid of the Ring?

It would probably be good to, but no, I doubt I would have much faith in their plan.

---

Pfft. Frodo's just one person. If it was one person, to save lots of others, I'd probably do it, even if it was my best friend or something, or even my sibling. I wouldn't have to feel good about it, though.

----

Would you ever try running out on the Cave Troll's chain the way Legolas did, if you weren't an elf?

Owh... but I heard siblings can be nasty!! :P

If I weren't an elf? No, then I wouldn't chain walk the way Legolas did
(Hmm... I'm realizing I've been answering no to the past many questions...)

Would you have kept the shards of Narsil?
('tis merely a useless, broken sword...lol)

Yes, because broken or not, it's still an heirloom, and it can still be reforged.

Would you fight as a foot soldier instead of being cavalry?

Aye. Don't mess with Frodo in front of me. It could get ugly. :P
And actually, I'm prettys ure that even if lava is a quick death (which I'm not convinced that it actually is. You sink into it pretty slowly.), it's an incredibly painful one, so tha last seconds of your life would be pain beyond imagining. Not the best way to die. I don't think anyone (well, almost anyone) deserves to die that way, but especially Frodo. *pulls Frodo to herself and hides him from Aerandir*

On with the game........... I would fight on foot or on horseback. If I'm in a battle, I don't worry about how I'm fighting. I fight. The objective is: kill the badguys before they kill me and/or the good guys. So you do. With what you have.

Imagine you have this life-long friend who fights alongside you bravely for the good of Middle-earth. Now imagine this lifelong friend joins forces with Sauron and you must face them in battle to save Middle-earth. Would you kill them?

Yes. I'm just unforgiving that way. ^_^

Would you ever join Morgoth's forces?

Awww Aerandir... you're spoiling my stats with that question, I've come into the habit of answering no to all questions (and I would've also had said no, to T.T's previous question), lol

I'm afraid I can't say for sure that I wouldn't... there could be so many reasons for it... a powerful maia he is, he might be able to trick me into joining him...
Nah... nevermind... I'll just say no to this one as well... no.. no.. NOOO I wouldn't join Morgoth's forces...

Would you have sided with Faramir or Denethor if you were Boromir?

One thing: I thought Morgoth was one of the Valar, not a Maia. Was I wrong? I'm confuzzled. Most likely, I am wrong, but I want to make sure.

Hmm..... your question is intersting and requires complex analysis Ea. On one hand, Faramir is so much more just, noble, and courageous, so I'd want to side with him. However, if I'm Boromir in this situation, then I'd have every reason to side with my father because he favors me above all things, so I could pretty much get anything I wanted from him. So..... since I am Boromir, I will say Denethor, but for myself, I would certainly side with Faramir.

If you were starving, an inch from death, and the only thing around to eat was Shelob's dead and rotting carcass, would you eat it? (Ok. I think I just grossed myself out slightly there. Weird. Seriously, that was stupid. you guys don't have to answer it.)

My deepest apologies... I just re-read my post and it doesn't make sense at all.

First of all.. of course Morgoth is a Vala, even one of the most powerful, he is like a twin brother to Manwë, shame on me!!!

Next... I'm confusing the thread with the This and That Game. I should have worded my question something like; Would you have sided with Denethor if you were Boromir?
*sighs*

And now for the question.
No, non, njet, nej, nein, nunca, NEVER!!!
I don't... do well.... with spiders...

Also, I think eating her poisonous body would rather send me closer to death than saving me from it!!

Would you have accepted to be the keeper of one of the Rings of Power?

I guess it would depend on what race I was...and what ring it was. If I was an Elf, I might, but if I was a race of man, I would not want a ring of power, though our kind is greedy and quick to take without question, so I have no idea what I would do. As a drawf, if it wasn't stone, I wouldn't take it. :P

Now, if it was the One Ring, I think no matter what I would take it and go on a quest to destory it...but I don't think I would be as strong as Frodo, and I would probably eventually, against my will, either die or be lead to Sauron and give him the One Ring back, so it's a good thing I wasn't the ringbearer! ;)

My question:

If you are a Nazgul, after Frodo escaped you once, would you ever think the hobbit would escape from your grasp again?

Of course not, I have horses and fell beasts! I can hunt that little Frodo down. Then I will take the Ring from him and take it for myself.

Would you have forgiven Boromir if you were Frodo?

Yes. He was overcome by the temptation of the Ring.

----

Grr....I came so close to spoiling your stats, Ea. I'll have to try harder.

----

Would you ever have sided with the Dwarves of Nogrod against the Elves of Doriath to steal the Silmaril?

Evil Aerandir... but now I know your secret agenda, lol

I must admit I don't remember the story in detail, but my immediate answer is no since the question involve the word 'stealing', which is quite negative. However, I do remember a slight tendency to arrogance among the elves of the Second Age...
But the answer is still no.... I tend to side with elves... at least when dwarves are involved
*raises Elven banner*

Would you have killed Gollum if you had the chance like Bilbo had in The Hobbit?
