Who whould've thought Gandalf would become a name for little boys? What'll be his nick? Gandy? Alf?

Well... I think that's a little sad! Gandalf is a great name for a wizard in a fantasy novel but a little boy... ? -_- I don't think I'd ever do that to my children... when I have children, of course!

Oh my god, how could you name your kid Gandalf?? It's such a misuse of the name and I feel really sorry for the little boy.
If he finds out where his names comes from it is very likely that he'll hate LotR I think..

Haha poor kid. I heard someone call their kid Freda before. I actually like that and I would use it :)

Freda's a normal name.. Gandalf isn't! Ackk.. I really feel for that child *shakes head sadly* Imagine naming your twins Gandalf and Saruman! Or Radagast and Pallando! *dies*

Haha yeah. I think Frodo would be a cute name too :P But definatly not when they are older. What about Haldir or Bilbo :lol:
If your a lotr lover and really wanted to name your kid after a character use Rosie, or Samwise. I cant really think of any other right now haha
