Maethoriel grinned. "Aragorn, there is one and only one whom I have shown respect to since I first met them, and they had to take my soul in order to get it," she replied and held up her hand to once again show the angry brand as if to back up her statement.

"My respect is earned, Estel...and as I have not seen you in many years, and since you are obviously a different man then when I last saw you - you get the joyous task of re-earning respect. Aragron the Dunedain was worthy of it, prove to me that Elessar King is too," she finished strongly.

The half-Elf was well acquainted with the corruption that power could bring, and had long since decided to with hold judgement on the new king until she was properly re-introduced. So far, he was doing well...although she would never tell him so.

Aragorn's placid features turned a little sour, his brow stitching into a frown. "If I must earn your respect, Maethoriel, so be it," he replied, eye to eye with the half elf. "But in my hall I would have you at the very least respect my company, as I give you respect. We had important matters to discuss, and your interruption has unsettled my guest. What now then?"

He glanced over at the small group still standing there, the young halfblood man and the healer's assistant, nodding to them absently. "You are dismissed," he told them gently.

Leuwynn rose at this point, quietly adding, "My lord, I have reason to believe that Taevi Xanalas ought to stay. The news that the ranger came with concerns him."

Taevi's large stormy eyes grew even wider. "Me?!" he said in murmured disbelief.

Maethoriel just nodded - that is all mortals needed to think they were being listened to - and let her mind wander. Something was there that she needed to pay attention to. It was very difficult to place though.

'What now then?' The words resounded in her mind and seemed to snap her awake. "What now then, indeed..." she murmured, turning sharply on her heel to look at her dwarvish companion.

There was a short, wordless exchange between the two that consisted of Maethoriel looking towards the window that led to part of the roof and then back to Grair who shook his head.

"Now, it is time to leave. Good day to you King Elessar, give my greetings to Undomiel," The woman said holding out her arms dramatically, her cane once again gone from sight.

"Where are you going?" Grair asked incredulously, hoping she didn't really mean to get to her next destination by the roof.

"The roof," she said as if were obvious, starting to run now.

"Your stitches!" He yelled.

"I shall be fine," she called back, halting her step a tad so she could properly jump out of the window.

"You'll bleed to death."

"Won't!" She said, and with that the woman was off to her next destination which she had a strange nagging feeling was connected to everything else happening.

"Right then," Grair muttered, looking towards the rest group realizing how incredibly strange that exchange must have looked to the rest. "You must forgive her...she is mad..."
