"oh?" she quickly twirled, blocking his attack then turning, using his shoulder as leverage, and brought her sword around swiftly in the less known counter attack move. "I believe you just mid-spoke."

Thoril untangled himself from her counter attack. "I have indeed. I do apologise." He grinned as he walked around her. When she turned to follow him, he turned in the opposite direction, attacking her from the side.

She quickly saw his moved and blocked it, their swords locking together forming an 'x' shape between them. "You think I wouldn't see that?" she gave him a crooked grin, leaning close so he would hear her quiet words.

"Just testing you," he grinned as he danced back from her reach. "I admit I am at a disadvantage. You have the gift of elvish sight. I do not. You also have the gift of speed of which I do not." He chuckled, studying her movements carefully, moving out of her reach just in time.

She grinned. "Indeed, you do have a handicap against me." she suddenly advanced, making several rounds of fierce attacks, not slowing or tiring. She aimed both low and high at different intervals.

Thoril moved quickly, his sword moving to block her attacks. He would block, duck, side step and attack in quick succession. Alas he was to slow for her and his movements were becoming predictable. Therefore he changed his tactics. He delved deep into his history, dredging up moves that had long run out of use, because they were to risky.

She blocked, switching between defensive and offensive moves as she danced back then forward again. She kept her eyes on his, a grin on her face as she sparred with him. He was more of a challenge than she had thought.

Thoril chuckled happily as he sparred with Callie. She was indeed talented, more talented than he with a blade. His feet moved swiftlly, dancing back and forth with her. He narrowly avoided her attacks and swiftly pushed on with his offences, his sword brandishing around her. He smirked. With one swift step he was behind her. In the next second his sword was at her throat. He kissed her cheek softly. "Check mate." He snickered.

She blushed, then chuckled. "Well played moves, there are few that can do that." she blinked at his nearness, not use to it still. "Very few." she said, quieter this time.

Thoril sheathed his sword, chuckling softly. "I once came across one of the Dunedain. He taught me that move and many others. He was a great man indeed. I am sure you have heard of him. I admit I was a much younger lad when I met him. The elves know him as Elessar, I believe."

Her eyes widened "You actually met Elessar? King Elessar?!" she emphasized the word 'king' as she turned to stare at him. "You...you...are serious? What was he li--" suddenly a shout cut her off, and she looked over, her face draining to a pale white as she saw the man who was walking toward her. "I...sorry!" she cried as she started to run, sheathing her sword. The man shouted again and started going after her.

Thoril's eyes widened. What was going on? Why was she running? Thoril followed after her, glancing back at the man behind him. Thoril caught up to Callie. He hoped his expression conveyed his question.

She looked at him, her eyes wide as she pleaded him with her eyes to go back. It was her former betrothed, who she left years ago because of his treatment of her.

Thoril glanced back at the man. He was fast, but not fast enough. Abruptly Thoril grabbed Callie's hand and steered her to the right. They zig-zagged between the trees in an attempt to lose them. Thoril spied a cave up ahead. He made for it, taking Callie with him.

She wanted to ask what in the name of the gods he was doing, but decided to not make a sound. She looked behind them, seeing nothing. Looking forward, she saw him heading for a cave. Once inside, she stared at him, confused and frightened.

Thoril held a finger to his lips. He looked down at her, he could sense her fear. He wrapped an arm around her, stroking her shoulder reassuringly. He stepped further inside, taking her with him. They were covered in darkness. He peered out of the cave, watching for anyone who dared to follow them. His hand gripped the hilt of his sword firmly.
