Thoril took the weight of spinning wheel without complaint. In truth, he could handle much more. "May have been no big deal, but I am here to help my dear," he grinned widely. Callie blushed as he kissed her cheek, but she did not move away. Thoril took this as a promising sign. He could not remember ever being so nervous in a relationship before. The fact that he was nervous had to mean something. He wondered what made him so nervous and he concluded it was the thought of losing Callie. He had never met anyone that intrigued him as much as Callie did. She sparked feelings in him that he did not even know that he had. "Congratulations on the job!" He smiled warmly at her as he entered the house. "It's very nice of them to allow you some time to move. Sounds like a good place to work, indeed."

She smiled. "I hope so! They seemed quite decent." they reached the house and she opened the door for him. "Where do you think we should put it?" in truth, she wished it at the fireplace, but it was not her house. It was nice to sit in front of the fire and spin cotton. Very relaxing to her. She took her things and set them on the table for now, unsure of even where her room was.

"Where would you like to put it?" Thoril asked, frowning slightly. "Callie I do not ask you here to be a guest. I want this to be your home too." He laid the spinning wheel down and crossed over to her. His hand lightly cupped her chin, stroking faintly. "This is your home and your house too. Do with it as you will. You are free to use any room for whatever you wish," he smiled softly, giving a slight chuckle. "I want you to be comfortable here."

Callie felt a slow smile spread across her face. "Alright...thank you." she found herself studying his face again. "Uhm...maybe...in front of the fireplace?" she asked, hopefully.

Thoril kissed her again, this time on the lips. He chuckled softly as he walked back to the spinning wheel. He ignored the question in her statement. "In front of the fire place it is," he grinned as he set it up for her. "Like this? Or would you like it further away from the fire than that?" He tilted his head at her innocently.

She was still a bit stunned from the kiss, but recovered and grinned. "A bit farther away, cotton catches fire easily." she spoke Woth the voice of experience on that matter. She chuckled as she watched him.

Thoril nodded and pulled the spinning wheel back. "Better?" Thoril asked, looking round at her again, smiling instantly. He straightened at the sound of a knock on the door. His eyes narrowed suspiciously as he walked over to the door. He pulled it open. He hissed sharply as he looked upon who stood there. It was one of the twins from his home town. He glared at him coldly. "Travon," he drawled. "What do you want?" He stood in the door, barring his entrance.

Travon smirked at Thoril's reaction. "At ease soldier. I see my letter got your blood boiling. I was disappointed when I did not receive a reply. Hence why I am here. I need your help..."

"Why should I help you?!" Thoril exploded. "I do not recall you helping me when I needed it." He spat.

"Thoril?" Callie asked, uncomfortable from the way Thorol had responded to this man. She quietly approached and laid her hand on Thoril's arm, and silently studied the man before them. She could literally feel Thoril's anger and unease.

"Please Thoril...Have mercy. I am not the child I once was." Travon's face was full of sorrow. Thoril did not trust it to be genuine, but he decided to hear him out. He stepped aside and held out his arm for Travon to enter. He glanced down at his arm, where Callie's hand rested. He realised he must have scared her. "I am sorry Callie," he said as his shoulders fell. "This is Travon, one of the twins I told you about a long time ago. Do you remember?" He glanced up to watch Travon walk into the living room. Placing his hand upon Callie's he walked into the living room behind Travon.

Travon swirled and turned to face them. "Telling you nice stories about me is he lass?" He addressed Callie. "Pretty one here, Thor'. You're doing well for yourself. Finally." He stressed.

This did nothing to ease Thoril's trust. "What is it you want?" He snapped. "Although I cannot imagine why I should help your lousy backside after everything and your brother have done to me."

Travon straightened. "Thoril...so sensitive..." he went to laugh, but finally took in Thoril's deadly expression. "Alright, alright," he said, raising his hands as a sign of peace. "Kane is dead. Your father is dead. My father is dead. We have fallen under attack. The dark lord Sauron has unleashed his army on Minas Tirith. We need aid. Will you not help us?"

Thoril's jaw dropped, gobsmacked by Travon's speech.

Her jaw dropped, first from Thoril's statement, then from Travon's. Sauron? She knew that evil was arising...she covered her mouth. The white city under attack? She glanced to Thoril, worry in her gaze as she gripped his arm tighter.

"My father?" He asked in a quiet voice, collapsing into a chair beside him. Images of black, ugly creatures swarming the white city filled his mind. He imagined what his father would have done. He would have been valiant. Even when he was weary and exhausted he would power on. His blood boiled at the thought of him dying at the hands of an orc.

"It took me a while to find you. I fear we may be too late." Travon said also in a quiet voice. He realised he was springing alot on Thoril. It was clear he was settled and happy hear, but Travon had no other option. He needed to find help. He knew Thoril was an incredible fighter, one of the best Travon would hazard to guess. "Please Thoril. Will you come?"

"I will not be enough to save Gondor. We shall need to rally whoever we can on our way back. Unfortunately time is against us..." His eyes grew sad. "Travon, go into town and gather who you can. I shall meet you in a few moments." He got to his feet and bowed to Travon as he left. His eyes fell to Callie. "I am sorry. I must go. I wish I didn't have to leave you. So soon, when we were just getting to know eachother. You can stay here, treat it as your home. I will come back to you when I can." With a sigh, he leaned in and pressed his lips to her forehead.

She began to shake. He was leaving? Tears sprang to her eyes. "Thoril..." she whispered, then threw her arms around his neck. She didn't want him to go, he could get killed. He could get captured...she held him tighter.

"Oh, Callie," he sighed wrapping his arms around her. "I do not want to leave you either, but I must do the right thing. I cannot leave my people to die." He was torn, the weight of the pressure was evident on his face. On the one hand he had found the woman he wanted to be with for the rest of his life. On the other hand forces were destroying his people and his home. Could he say no to helping them and stay in this peaceful place he had designed for himself and Callie. But then what would happen when they came and destroyed this beautiful slice of heaven? What if they came and killed Callie. He shuddered as a bolt of pain shocked his heart. "Callie..." he sighed softly, before his lips were pressed against hers in an urgent manner.

She sobbed as his lips met hers and kissed him back, holding him tightly. The one thing she had found that made her happy was now being ripped from her. Again. She knew he was right, he had to go defend his home and people. She broke the kiss with a shuddering breath and buried her face in his neck. "Promise me you'll come back." she whispered, knowing full well that was a promise left to the fates.

He held her close to him, his head resting on hers. He took a deep, steadying breath. Fear had no place in his armour. He had to be strong. "I promise....Nay! I vow to come back to you Callie. I vow to come back to you and make you my bride." He stated with great exultation. "I love you Callie." He whispered softly, nuzzling his head against hers. He ignored the impatient tapping of Travon. He could wait. His home could wait one moment at the very least.

Callie's tears now ran freely, and she nodded, whispering the words she knew were true. "I love you, Thoril." she held him close, afraid to let him go. Her hand caressed his face, her eyes showing her fear. She placed a soft kiss on his cheek.
