((Ah, OK, sorry))
Turwaithion cursed as archers picked off another elf. He cut down two more, and ducked a black shaft that embedded itself in a tree.
"Kill the Archers first!" he ordered, shooting an archer out of a tree personally
"No heroics!" he added

Deawen knew better, a circle was only good if there was no archers... She could not use a bow she didn't have, so she broke rank. She urged her horse to the right and galloped through the woods just out of sight, she wanted the impression she fled in terror so she would not be noticed right away. then she turned left, galloping through the trees behind the orcs. She trampled down several orcs along the way, each time she hoped she killed injured them enough to keep them from getting back up. She spotted a group of archers just ahead, protected by a large fallen tree, she would have to jump the tree and pray there were no unseen spikes. Her horse moved as a golden flash, " Come on Arenel you can make this!" she said to her horse, just as the began the arc to the jump, Deawen wanted to close her eyes but forced them open, ready to cut down her enemy. The orcsreacted faster than she expected, she felt the arrow before she saw it. it was only her right shoulder, but it stung unmercifuly. She cut down the orc who fired the arrow and trampled the rest as best she could, then dashed off towards her companions.

Turwaithion cursed when he saw Deawen flee, and shot another Orc in the back who was aiming for her neck. More death cries of Orcs in Deawen's direction told Turwaithion that she was preforming well. The creature fell with a scream. He parried a blow, but then a larger orc slashed his exposed sword arm batween his plates, He let out a cry, and slew them both. He continued to kill Orcs until Elenrist was practically soaking with blood. Then, he caught movement. Deawen was back, an arrow in her shoulder. He cursed and dispatched the last of the creatures, and rode over, noting that there was no longer arrow fire.
"Deawen! What in Illuvatar's name were you THINKING?"

(Goodness, I post and you edit now it says no heroics!
And It's D-e-a-w-e-n, nor Dearwen )
it was a good question, but one Deawen couldn't answer. She shrugged with one shoulder. " It worked didn't it?" she responded sharply, she then remembered her place, and lowered her head, in submission. " Goheno nin (forgive me) Deawen knew she acted foolishly but sometimes she felt she had to act foolishly to get to the goal.

((Sorry. I'll edit the spelling))
Turwaithion placed a hand on Deawen's shoulder
"You are forgiven. I apologize for shouting, but, I can't afford to lose anyone in this group. Many have already fallen" he said, looking to the bodies of the slain elves "Again, I apoogize. Come, I need to treat your shoulder." he said, gripping the shaft tightly and pulling it free, head and all
"It doesn't appear to be poisoned. Consider yourself lucky. I nearly lost my life to a poisoned shaft last winter." He said, bandaging Deawen's wound and applying a poultice of a mallorn leaf
"Mellyrn leaves have healing qualities. They will keep the wound clean while it heals." he said, unbuckling his arm plates to treat his arm

Arwen had unshouldered her longbow, and released white-feathered arrows at the orcs speedily, knocking them down one by one. Her expression was calm, emotionless as orcs fell down about her.

(Oh, right, sorry)
Arwen walked towards the others, shouldering her bow. She raised an eyebrow. "I must say, I've seen better battles," she commented. She looked at Deawen. "You're hurt." Her glance went to Turwaithion. "Do you need any help?"

Deawen bit her lip to keep from crying out, as he pulled the shaft free. "You have right, my lord, I disobeyed your command." she said as Turwaithion applied the salve, her arm ached and stung. " Small price to pay considering the circumstances" she commented, her usual frolic nature slowly began to return.

(Oh just a quick note, my character is Anira in this one Turwaithion-though she is from Greenwood. Wow. That had to be the quickest battle I have ever seen in a rp-next time care to save some for those of us who have the unfortunate luck of not being on at the time [pretty please?])
Anira put her long-bow away as she dismounted and walked up to where Deawen was. "Courageous move-if not foolish," she remarked with a smirk as she stood with the small group gathering. "I foresee this journey with you will be one a memorable one." She then turned back to Turwaithion. "What are your orders now, my lord?" she asked.

Deawen couldnt' help the childish grin that spread across her face like wildfire. " I didn't have a bow I couldn't very well throw my daggers! what if I missed?" she cried with dramatic shock. Deawen examined her shoulder with a disproving frown. " It stings..." she commented, pressing the wound. She pulled herself to her feet, with a hiss as her shoulder stung.

((Elenriel, OK.))
Turwaithion shook his head "Your lucky you got off with that, Deawen. I'll procure a bow for you at Hithlum, if you need it. As for orders, get the wounded mounted, and collect the dead. We will at least give them a burial." he said solemly, bandaging his forearm and re-donning his vambrace. 5 Elves lay dead. Anira, Goldleaf, Turwaithiel, and Deawen were the only survivors, in addition to himself.

Arwen looked around at her surroundings. She nodded gravely. "They were noble in battle, they deserve respect, in death," she said quietly.

((Much obliged))
Turwaithion puled a small spade from his saddlebag and started to dig, wincing everytime his wound was irritated. Finally, he had dug a shallow grave, where he lowered the first of the fallen into.
"Hino hidh abwanath" He said, bowing his head a few =minutes later over the mounds, marked by swords. "Come. We must not let thier sacrifice be in vain. They died fighting Morgoth's dominion. We will continue to do so until we join them ourselves. I swear it."

Arwen smiled. Bending her head, she murmured a few words in Elvish of blessing over the dead. "They are at peace now," she said. "Is everyone ready to continue our journey?"
