I am, for one. We must make haste. King Fingolfin will not be able to keep the Siege forever." Turwaithion said, hopping into Fyrn's saddle.

((Sorry for my absence!! Drat, I missed the battle!))
Turwaithiel was silent, her own thoughts going a mile a minute in her head. Not even barely started and a battle already overwith. Not a good sign. Their plan for secretcy was already lost. Time to find a new route. One that traveled quick and covered a great distance at speed.

Anira bowed her head in respect and murmured a few words of respect and blessing before swiftly remounting her steed again. "Then we must travel as swiftly as the wind blows," she murmured, knowing full well that every second lost brought them closer to defeat.

Turwaithion picked up a spear from theground, and slung it over his back. We will make beter progress if we ride into Neldoreth. The land is secure. Come." he said, urging his mare northwest.

Anira urged her steed to a gallop and swiftly followed Turwaithion. The wind whipped through her golden locks as her sharp eyes scanned their surroundings-the first attack on their party making her even more wary of their surroundings.

Deawen helped with the burials solemly, she hated death, not from fear but how it took away things you love.
Deawen climbed into her saddle with difficulty, after getting into her saddle she raced after her companions. Aerenel keeping pace made Deawen's fallen heart soar. More than anything she loved to race the wind. Deawen saw a deer out in the woods, it was a good sign nothing was in that part of the woods. "My lord, how do you know if King Fingolfin will be pleased to see us?" she asked worriedly. " I mean...I am no elf, I am as human as my forebearers..." she was starting to stumble for words, she wasn't sure if it was a good idea that she offer her services to and Elven King.

Arwen ran alongside the others, the wind racing past her. Her speed matching that of the horses, she looked about her, at the passing trees.

((@ Deawen))
Turwaithion smiled " Do not worry, child. My King will accept any service offered to him. He does not differentiate between men and the Firstborn. To him, and to me, it matters not wheter you are mortal or not. I know my lord will bw glad to see us, because, though I am of the people of Feanor, he knows I am loyal to the King, not that Kinslaying orc-spawn and his sons." he finished bitterly

Pausing a moment to take a breath, Arwen continued running. She listened to the others talk. She did not have anything to add to their conversation; looking straight ahead she concentrated on keeping up her pace.

Deawen nodded and sighed at the same time. " Atleast you know where you came from" she pointed out softly, as a sub-thought. She didn't know where she came from, who her parents were, or what her own kind looked like. She had never seen another human before, she felt a rush of excitement at the chance of seeing her own kind, and yet a small subtle fear told her it may not be wise. Deawen was often easily sidetracked and naive about other beings. Her foster parents felt it would be wise to keep Deawen far from her own kind to keep her from the tainted world. She was too playful and carefree for the world.
" I am glad to be offering my services to him then." Deawen said politely she waited a moment before asking. " Why did you offer your services to King Fingolfin if you are of the people of Feanor?" She turned completly in her saddle to look at him, just proving she was still young and naive.

Turwaithion scowled
"It began before I was born. My father Lord Findecano was always not as foolhardy or headstrong as Feanor or his sons. When he followed Feanor into Exile, my mother, still with child, came with him of her own accord. My family did not take part in Alqualonde, and Feanor lowered his view us us for that. Instead of going with Feanor's other people, my parents stayed to help Fingolfin's folk, saying that they would be there when the ships returned. My father was the first to espy the flames at Losgar. So, betrayed by our Lord, my parents followed Fingolfin across the Helcaraxe, where I was born. The incident only deepened my father's hatred of his Lord, for my mother nearly died in childbirth, thanks to the cold, and I was nearly stillborn for the same reason. When we finally arived here, my father swore an oath of vengeance upon Feanor and his house. Feanor was killed not a week later, and We settled in Hithlum with Fingon. Then, Maedhros's peace negotiations with Morggoth turned foul. In addition to Maedhros being captured, my father and most of his guard were slain. Only four, Istuion, Calam, Durion, and Glandur, survived to bring the news to my mother. Distraught with grief, she me, and the guards fled to Doriath, where my sister Teleplin was born, without a father. We were accepted by Thingol, I was tutored by Beleg and Mablung as a Marchwarden, and, I stand here today."

Hearing the mention of her homeland, Arwen looked up at the galloping horses. "I am surprised that we have never met before, Turwaithion," she said, "in all my hundred years. Doriath is my home, ever have I dwelled there, guarding the woodland boarders."

I served near Nargothrond. I believe we did meet once, but we did not speak. I stayed distant from most of my Sindar compatriots, in case my name reached the ears of the Feanorionath. I would not have the Sons of Feaor bring thier wrath down upon this place for sheltering me." Turwaithion said,a reminiscent glimmer in his eyes

Arwen nodded. "Guarding this place, with your very life, often comes at some cost or other," she said. "I may not be as old as you are, my lord, but this I understand."

"I know it. I saw my dearest friends killed in defence of the northern marches. See this?"
*gestures to scar running from his temple to jaw*
I was lucky not to recieve more. I am glad you understand the sacrifices needed, for we shall need that knowledge in the days ahead."

Arwen did not flinch from the scar, but simply nodded. "Wounds run deep in the Elven race," she said. "The oldest of creatures are charged with the defence of this world, this Middle Earth. Even the wisest of us cannot see all ends of every battle, but this I know; good prevails over any of the dark forces in this world."
She smiled up at the horses, calmly, pleasantly. Her gaze turned back to ahead of her as she continued running.
