Alythrya looked into Eldarion's eyes, her vision blurred. She leaned her head under his chin , leaning on his chest. She whispered to him, Ná Elbereth veria le, bado go Eru, No galu govad gen, Cuio vae. Eldarion! She couldn't help but start to sob.

(just in case, that means:
May Elbereth protect you, go with God, May blessings go with you, Farewell Eldarion.)

Eldarion wrapped his arms around her, his heart shattering into a thousand tiny pieces as she broke into a sob. Feeling his own tears sink into her hair, he choked back his own sobbing and hugged her close, then stepped back and leaned down just enough to look her eye-to-eye.

"You make it seem as if this is the end of the world, Alythrya." A hint of a smirk touched his thin lips, "This is not our time. Illuvitar is far from cruel, meleth nin." He touched her cheek to wipe away a tear, then, without being able to contain himself, leaned forward and kissed her with all his love, tears still coming from his eyes.

Alythrya kissed back and she felt like is was the end of the world. She finally let go. "Go, meleth nin. I will miss you..." She tried to stay strong, without crying. "Wait, though..." She took out two tokens to help Eldarion. "Take this dagger and this necklace...the necklace glows when you are in dark places...and you can always use an extra dagger." She smiled.

Eldarion smiled, but then frowned when she handed him the objects.

"Where did you get it?..." he shook his head, "Nevermind that. But thank you." He smiled at her and kissed her cheek, and said, "I will see you soon, meleth. Then, we shall see about a certain warrior maiden I know. And love." He kissed her lightly again, then put the necklace around his neck and the dagger under his belt. "Namarie. We will meet again."

"Namarie." Alythrya said, holding his hand for a moment longer, then finally letting go. "And do fall in love with any orcs while your gone!" She said jokingly just as her mother Eoywn came and grasped her shoulders.

"I don't think so. I've already got a girl." He winked. Then said, "And if they for some reason fall in love with my stick," he said, motioning to his sword, "That won't last long." He smiled, then ran off towards his father.

Eowyn squeezed her daughter's shoulders as she washed the prince leave, then looked down at her daughter.

"He loves you very much, you know." She smiled as she looked back up at the retreating form of Eldarion. "You are lucky to have him, daughter." She then completely wrapped her arms around Alythrya. "And I could not be more proud of you." Her smile faded slightly. "You do realize that he only wishes you to stay because he loves you, Alythrya. Don't you?"

Raelyn watched her brother go. she was sad for him too. she didnt want anyone to leave or die...she thought about Elboron. would he die? would she ever see him again? thought came rushing through her mind like a wind storm. she left her mother's side and went beside the teary eyed Alythrya and her mother. she wanted to reach out and hug her but held back becuase her mother was talking to her.

Arwen watched her daughter. <i> oh to be so young and in love...it's a dangrous road my Raelyn is taking...</i> she thought.

Alythrya looked up at Eowyn and nodded. "I understand..." She sighed. "Ma, what about Elboron? What do you think they will do to him?" Eowyn shook her head as Faramir came out on his horse. He unmounted quickly and kissed Eoywn quickly on the lips and then Alythrya on the head. He then looked at Alythrya and said, "Alythrya, I know you what to become a Shieldmaiden like your mother and you are...but we know little of this new evil and until then, I want you staying here. Understood?" Alythrya nodded, solemly.

Eldarion creapt through the thick woods silently as he and his father, along with several rangers swept the area for Elboron and any sign of orcs. Looking rather like a wolf stalking his prey, he crouched low to the ground when he spotted Elboron's bound form. The orcs fussing and swarming over him were a very low sub-breed of orcs. Unintelligent, and bloodthirsty by nature.

Eldarion slowly groped the ground with his hand, trying to find a suitable rock or stick. His hand soon landed on a severed root, dry and rotting. Perfect. Throwing it as high and as far as he could, the orcs soon swarmed over to where it had landed on the other side of their camp, in the bushes. Eldarion took no time in clapping his strong arm around Elboron and dragging him somewhat silently from the orc's would be interregation camp. Once out of the worst underbush, Eldarion put Eldarion up against a tree stump and made a calling noise like that of an owl. Soon, all of the trees above him were stirring with owls. Cursing, Eldarion continued to call, hoping franticly that his father or one of the soldiers would here him. Nothing. Sighing and rolling his eyes, Eldarion picked up Elboron and slung him over his shoulder, heading back home. He needed to get to the healing wing. Now.

Faramir was riding on his horse when he ran into Elboron being carried by Eldarion. "Eldarion!" He whispered and offered his hand.

But then, something was heard in the shadows...

movement.

To the left, a twig broke. To the right, leaves rustled.

Then, orcs screamed could be heard loudly and in seconds the three men where surrounded by orcs, all chanting something.

"Faramir, I have to get to the healing wing! Can you cover me? I'll send reinforcments."

Faramir unmounted his steed. "Take midnight and get there as quickly as possible. I will cover you." Faramir helped Eldarion on and then took out his sword, ready.

Eldarion nodded and mounted midnight, Elboron infront of him, head hanging off to one side, blood trickling down his mouth. Spurring him forward, he whispered elven words of haste to the animal.

He passed through the halls, and passed Alythrya, Eowyn, Raelyn, and his mother as he raced to the healing wing, stopping only to send several guards down to Faramir's position.

Raelyn did a double take. "was...that my brother and Elboron!?" she looked at Alythral and then ran to the healing wing.

Alythrya was already two steps ahead of her. Eoywn, looking back and sending a few gaurds of her own to go and help her hudsband, quickly raced up the steps and into the healers wing.
