"May I ask you what? Is this something for old Bilbo?" Cason was curious. Bob brought a meal and young hobbit was looking with hungry eyes at it, even if he already ate breakfast.

"Cason is fat as always" laughed Birif, trying to not pay attention to mysterious words said by Bilbo. "He does nothing as always too...but we are going to leave Hobbitton for a while. It will be good for my thirst of adventure."

"Leave Hobbiton..."" Bilbo frozed. "I...I mean...do you really want to live this town? I thought... thought Cason doesn't like travelling."

If they wanted to leave Hobbiton, they could cross their paths with his. He wanted to be free, even from his best friends. It was mean to think about them as balast but he just thought as that.

"Of course he hates travelling. That's why it's so exciting!" laughed Birif. "Taking Cason from Hobbiton is already one big adventure. I hope he won't collapse in the middle of journey to Bree."

"If you use your skills, he will go after you to the end of the world." Bilbo imagined Cason Hardbottle, looking at Misty Mountains with sad expression and suddenly bursted out laughing. "If you will keep him fed and safe, he will be good companion. I don't know him as good as you do but I know he is a good person."

"He said he will join us soon. I think he was in your room" said Bob, smiling. "You should keep your things safe before him, I once lost my pipe and found him smoking near the house."

Cason was listening, amused. Kids! He remembered like he and his friends were stealing apples.

"MY DIARY! Oh my dear little hobbit! MUSSI!!" she screamed and ran to her room and of course he was reading all the things she wrote about Cason's looks and hobbies and all the cute things about him.
"How dare you look at MY personal diary with all the details about Cason and....!" she screamed and the she realized that Cason was in the house and that he heard everything. She blushed and ran out to take some fresh air. She was almost crying and she was so mad to her little brother.

"Are you ok?" Cason followed Rosie and now stood after her. He heard as hobbit girl was shouting at her brother but didn't hear what she was saying. It had be something that hurted her. Cason maybe wasn't very emphatic person and rather felt for himself than others but this girl was his friend. Besides, he didn't like when hobbits were angry or sad. That was making him nervous.

She wiped the tears with her hand. "Yes I'm fine" she murmured.
"I need to confess something but I hope that our friendship isn't ending or something because..." she started but then she couldn't say more but all of a sudden she began to weep profusely.

"You can tell me everything!" Cason made self-confident expression. "And don't cry, it can't be that bad. I, for example, almost always put myself in troubles...I hope you aren't in really awful troubles. Whatever it is, I can help you..." he touched her shoulder lightly.

Rosie trembled by the touch and looked at Cason with a minor smile. All of a sudden she stood up suddenly and hugged the young hobbit from the neck and whispered at his ear:
"Cason, I have feelings for you but I fear that you don't like me..."
Rosie loosened her grip on the boys neck and looked at him with her blue eyes. Her blonde hair landed on her shoulders beautifully. Her blue eyes were bright. She looked on her left and the sun set. She giggled and turned her head back to the young hobbits eyes.

Cason's eyes widened.

"Of course I like you, Rosie, even very much. But that's the reason why you cry? This is rather good thing..." he smiled lightly and looked her in the eyes. He never considered this girl as love object, they were like old friends, who grew up together and played together. But it wouldn't be strange to like her even more. She did was beautiful and his father always told him that he need to find good girl that will make him less self-centered and more stable.
