Markus chuckled at her. "We are indeed ready to go. Just one more thing." Without asking her picked up her hand and slipped the ring onto her finger. "Do not complain. It is the one way I truely get to repay you for what you have done. I refuse to take it back either. And do not say I never gave you anything." Markus winked to her playfully before he set off down the road.

Her jaw dropped, and she looked at him with huge eyes, speechless. She had never been given anything before that. She was so shocked that she just stood, staring at the ring as he walked on. She suddenly called out "Markus!!" when he stopped and turned she flew to him, jumping and throwing her arms around his neck, squealing as she did so. "Thank you thank you thank you! It's beautiful! How did you know?"

Markus wheeled round as he heard his name being called. He gasped in surprise as Luna jumped into his arms. He chuckled softly. "I have my ways," he snickered. "I am glad you like it though." He smiled to her warmly. "It is, indeed a beautiful ring. A beautiful ring for a beautiful woman."

Her eyes went round. Beautiful? Her? She looked around, wondering if he had been speaking to someone else. But seeing no one, she turned back to him, her eyes still comically round. "Really?" she whispered.

"Really." He grinned as he placed Luna back on her feet. "Now, Lothlorien is North east of here. Unfortunately the White Mountains lie in our way. We can either walk around them or go through them. Which would you prefer?"

"which way is shorter?" she did her puppy dig head tilt again.

"Going through the mountains is shorter. However walking around them would be safer. Then again it would be nice to speak to the dwarves. Although we will need to bring them a gift or two for passage through thier home." He pursed his lips tightly. "Can always stop to buy something on the way there."

"Let's go through!" she said excitedly. "It shall be fun! Lots of fun!" her blue eyes fairly danced as she thought about it, her hands clasped in front of her.

"Alright then." He nodded his head at her choice. He began to walk into the woods. He knew there would be another town somewhere nearby. "Dwarves are a very proud and stern race. They adore their craft of mining. It feeds their greed for gold. It may be wise to bring them some gold. Either that food. I am sure they would appreciate a basket of food." Markus mused.

"Oh! Of course! Bread and fruit and jams and jellies..." she tapped her finger to her chin as she thought "And perhaps malt beer..."

(Sirel. Elf from Imladris. Female. Black hair, green eyes. Father killed in orc attack (in which Celebrian was captured as well) and mother resides in Imladris.)

Sirel whistled quietly as she walked down the forest path. Having just come from Minas Tirith, she was on her way back to Imladris. She planned to stay a few days in Lothlorien as well - she was good friends with Rumil.

Luna walked alongside Markus, terribly excited. Perhaps she would learn something of her past! She suddenly grabbed his hand "Markus! There's someone on the path..."

Sirel stopped in midstep when she heard the quiet voices. As silently as possibly, she pulled herself up into a tree and sank back into the shadowy leaves, waiting for the other travelers to show themselves.

Luna suddenly stopped talking and looked around. "They've disappeared! They were right here..." she scratched her head, confused as she looked around. "Markus?" she turned to him, as though he could answer he question.

The two people on the path were elves, like her. and Sirel doubted she had anything to worry from them. She dropped out of the tree, barely making any noise as she hit the ground, and said, "Hello."

Luna suddenly blinked as she saw the person reappear out of a tree. She tilted her head. "Hello!"
