Before Glorfindel could say anything, Turwethiel sat up and screamed, "He's here!" Then her face went blank; the last thing she remembered was her promise to Tarawag. She brushed roughly past Eru and Aralas in a trancelike state, toward the direction from which hooves could be heard.

Glorfindel and Eldarion ran after the girls and pulled them back. Eru began to cry, nothing was right. Glorfindel sighed and drew his sword."get back, behind the bushes, off the road and out of sight!" He told the girls. Eru obeyed and pulled her sisters along too. Eldarion stepped forward, but Glorfindel told him to stay with his sisters and protect them.

Tarawag rushed at Glorfindel, and Aralas watched, scared. She gripped Turwethiel's wrist, not letting her go. She broke out in a cold sweat as she watched the fight from a clump of bushes. The enemy looked nastier and stronger than before, and soon three shadowy figures with red eyes emerged from the forest and came towards Glorfindel. Aralas wanted to fight, help Glorfindel, but she didn't exactly now what to do: follow the elf's words or go against them. She looked at Eldarion, but he wasn't there. He had joined the fight.

Turwethiel twisted in pain. Suddenly her face went slack, almost unrecognizable. "Let. Me. Go. Now." She shoved her sisters aside and drew her sword. She walked purposefully ahead.

Aralas looked around in panic. If she went for her sister, Turwethiel might hurt her. She had to join the fight. Eldarion and Glorfindel didn't look too good there. She felt a voice on the wind whisper in her ear, "Stay there. If you get out that would be just what the enemy wants. Stay strong, Aralas." She stayed, torn between two sides.

Eru tried to run after Turwethiel, but Aralas pulled her back."Aralas, she told him she would do anything he wanted, he wants her to fight on his side, don't you understand?" Eru burst into tears.

Turwethiel approached the battle. "What are you DOING? Do you want to get killed? GET BACK!" Turwethiel glared at him, a wild look in her eyes. "YOU WILL DIE!" and charged at Eldarion.

Aralas couldn't take it anymore. She lunged at her brother, knocking him away and getting a slash on her arm by her sister instead. She accidentally kicked her sister in the face and ran in the cover of the bushes. She held her arm in pain.
