"No." Replied Eru shortly. "Turwethiel, help me talk some sense into our brother!"
A knock on the door sounded again. Eldarion vanished into the closet.
"Hello, Eru." Elboron stepped in. "Can i speak with you? Alone?"
With a sigh and a glance at Turwethiel, Eru followed Elboron into the courtyard. "Yes?" Eru glanced at the figure hiding behind a bush and smiled. Elboron took her hand. "Eru, ever since the day you gave me the "Talk" i have felt affectionate towards you. Your cheerfulness, joy, and wisdom would bring happiness to my household. Please, Eru, stay with me." Eru looked from her hands to Elboron's face. "No, Elboron, i cant." Taking a deep breath she began. "Nearly a year ago, i met a young Elven Ranger. Imrathon. He went out to destroy an uprising of orcs. He promised to return to me. I in turn promised to wait for him. I will not give up hope. Imrathon will return." Looking shocked, Elboron let go of her hands and stood up. "Eru! Why didn't you tell me?" Tears were in Eruwaedhiel's eyes. "I couldnt..." Elboron turned and left the courtyard. Eruwaedhiel's vision blurred. She began to sob, for Imrathon, for he sisters and for Elboron. "Father, help me!" She wispered. "Imrathon."

Turwethiel ran down to join her sister. "Elboron does not give up, does he?" She stared off into the distance. "Do you think he will now, after hearing about Imrathon? He's kind of relentless, first Aralas..... then you....." she trailed off "am I making things worse?"

"Do what? Ask you to marry him? I can't stand this. If Imrathon...if...Elboron will be annoyed. If Imrathon returns, Elboron will be doubly annoyed. Turwethiel...we have to leave. I need to find out what happened to Imrathon. If he is still alive..." Eruwaedhiel jumped up. "If he is still alive...he will have gone to Minas Tirith. He doesn't know that we left." Her excited look dimmed to sadness. "Imrathon does not know that Father and Mother are gone. What if...If Father would not have wanted us to marry." At the new thought, Eru sat down weakly. "How do I know what to do? I want to stay close to my siblings, I want to escape Elboron, and see Imrathon again." She fingered a small silver ring that he sister had never noticed before. "Turwethiel, do you honestly think that Imrathon will return to me?"

"I hope you are right Turwethiel. If he..." Eru trailed off. "Lets pack. The sooner I get out of Elboron's sight, the better!" She stood up, with an odd feeling that she and Turwethiel were not alone.

"I have no idea..." a hand grabbed her wrist. "Eruwaedhiel, it's me!" ,Eru stared at the stranger then threw her arms around him. "Imrathon! How did you know where to find us?" Bowing slightly to Turwethiel, Imrathon looked at Eru. "I stopped here to rest before I returned to Minas Tirith. I heard your voice on my way to find Elboron. You are leaving?" Eru smiled at Turwethiel." Elboron thinks that he want to marry me. I'm trying to escape him!"

"Um, hi, Elboron," said Turwethiel awkwardly. "My sister is, um, experiencing personal issues at the moment." She stepped in front of Eru and Imrathon, blocking Elboron's view. "Can I take a message?"

Elboron glared at her. "Personal Issues indeed." He stepped around her and looked at Imrathon angrily. "What do you mean by this? Eru, is this the long lost Imrathon?" Silently Eru nodded. Imrathon met Elboron's glare.
