Relena was quiet for a moment and finally answered.
"Renald, I was a prison maid...the only difference between what I was then and what I am now is which side of the law I was living on. It did not stop the looks or the abuse. I was just locked in a room until a meal time."

Relena sighed slightly, looking down at the ground as it passed beneath her horse's hooves. She didn't answer him, not really wanting to be left alone in an unfamiliar place.
