Hi all! I heard that ProgressiveDesk has a desk column that can be used in a variety of situations. I read on their website that they are quite convenient and can be used for different types of workstations. But I don’t understand, are they really that versatile? Can such columns be used for different desk heights, and how do they perform in the long run? Before investing in such a thing, I would like to hear the opinion of people who actually use them. For example, I have a non-standard working angle, and it is not always comfortable to sit. Can such a column help? Has anyone tried it?

Hi! I just recently purchased and installed a telescopic lifting column from https://www.progressivedesk.ca/pages/lifting-columns, so I can share my experience. When choosing such a system, the main thing is the ability to easily adapt the desk to any working conditions, whether sitting or standing. What I liked about the columns from ProgressiveDesk is their versatility. They fit almost any desk, and the ability to adjust the height is incredibly convenient. For example, I work a lot at the computer, and due to my sedentary lifestyle, my back and neck began to hurt. That's why I decided to try this option to improve my health and reduce the strain on my spine. As for using columns in small spaces, they are ideal for such cases. They do not require much space, since they are usually installed on an existing desk, and you can easily adjust the height to the needs of the user. For example, I have such a desk in the corner of the room, and thanks to the lifting columns, I can not only sit at it, but also work standing, which significantly improves my well-being. At the same time, even when the table is in a standing position, its stability remains at a high level - there is not the slightest vibration or wobble, which is very important for me as a person with two monitors. It is also convenient that the columns can be adjusted not only in height, but also at an angle, which adds even more flexibility in use.

Interesting discussion! I also liked the ProgressiveDesk desk with lifting columns, but I would like to add that if you have limited space or want to use such a desk for different tasks, it is important to consider not only the adjustable height, but also additional features that can be useful. For example, the ability to program multiple height levels for quickly switching between a sitting and standing position. I also use such a desk for work and video conferencing, and it adds convenience - I do not need to manually adjust the height each time, I just press a button and the table automatically adjusts.
