Luke groned, and Han came over and helped him up. "What have you been up to Kid?"

"Nothing much." Luke said as the started walking down the hall. He unziped the jumpsuit and left it hanging down at his waist, leaving a white tanktop undershirt on. He carried his boots and helment, walking in socks.

"Getting ready to move to Hoth?" Han asked.

"O, That will be fun." Luke said sarcastly.

Reia looked up as the door to her office opened and Maraj stepped in. "Hello, Saberrie. I mean-" she laughed, "I mean Maraj, I'm sorry. I'm so used to calling people's last names..."


[BTW, I got the shouting match idea from <u>The Longest Yard</u>, so yeah, it was harsh....American football coaches are the worst....lol]

Leia stormed down the hall. She had just left the command center. She halted outside Reia's office to hit the open button. As the door slid up, she ducked under to enter. "Commander Reia, if you can't keep your voice down I'll have to locate you else where!" she said in a firm, close to yelling voice. Drilling was one thing, but when you could hear Reia's barking in the command center, considering it was the busiest, loudest room in the whole base, Reia had taken shouting to whole new level.

Reia shook her head. "Princess, I understand, but they lost <i>your</i> ship in the simulation to protect me. Forgive me if I consider the survival of the Rebellion more important than my personal safety."

Nelissa looked at Wedge's face as she tied her boots, then said, "Look, I'm sure she didn't mean it in a bad way...I mean, she's an awesome teacher, you have to hand her that...and she has so much on her plate as General of the Rebellion...and she lost Viceroy Organa in the Alderaan incident, don't forget..."

Wedge nodded, then turned and began to walk toward his aunt's office.

Leia shook her head. In a quieter voice she said, "Reia, it was just a simulation. And besides the Rebellion can't survive without you. There are plenty of politicians who can take over my job."

"A cruiser is much more valuable than a fighter. Besides, my nephew could easily take over my position...my only real value is my experience from the Clone Wars..." her voice trailed off...the end of the Wars brought back bad memories.

Wedge opened the door, and Reia looked up. She nodded, then said, "Would you excuse us, please?"

Leia nodded. "Of course. Besides, I have to return to the patrol screens." She smiled at Wedge and left the room. She entered the command center and took a seat in a chair surronded by screens. After quickly, reviewing images taken during patrols , Leia started scanning through reports on imperial movements.

Reia sighed as the door closed. "Look Wedge, I'm sorry for yelling at you in there. It's not your fault. You're a great pilot, really, and I'm not just saying that because you're my nephew and I practically trained you myself. You and your friend Luke make an excellent team. It's just...try to...oh, forget it. I won't even try...Princess Leia has just yelled at <i>me</i> for yelling at you guys."

Wedge had to laugh. "Really?"

"Yeah," she said, smiling like her old self as he remembered her on Alderaan and Corellia, not the tense, stressed out General. "So, you guys can save whoever you like, just be sure to <i>mind</i> - <i>the</i> - <i>cruisers</i> next time," she said with a smile.

Wedge smiled in return. "I will."

Reia grinned. "You're dismissed."

He left, and she sat down, sighing. The reminder of the Clone Wars brought back a flood of memories of the Old Republic....of Eljaraj, of Obi-Wan, of....Padme....and Anakin. Deep down, she wished desperately that things could be the same again...

Nelissa walked into the Command Room. "Princess Leia?" she asked, "You called for me?"

Leia smiled as her friend entered the room. "Yes, welcome Nelissa. Since I know you I don't like doing this but Mon Mothma will chew me out if I don't. We have to have a little welcome orientation." She wanted to sigh but restrained herself. The two had grown up together and an orientation was unneccessary but she'd be in trouble if she didn't.

Nelissa smiled. "Okay, go ahead," she said. No matter what, she was still energetic and enthusiastic.

Leia nodded. "Alright. I'll make this short and sweet. As you probaly know, you will be under Commander Reia Antilles. You're still fairly new to the Alliance but your skills have paid off, if you like war anyways. Her group is very elite and superior to the others. You'll be seeing battles. Training is over for the day but it starts early in the morning. A droid will wake you. Have you seen your quarters yet?"
