Out of the formation of the other Star Destoryers came Vader's Destoryer. It was at the point of the formation as it dodged the oncoming lasers of the enemy. Vader casually fired at the enemy, and watched them with joy as they fell from the sky in a ball of fire.

Nelissa kept her eyes on the hangar door - then heard General Antilles's voice over the radio. "Antilles, Skywalker, Organa - launch now." Nelissa nodded, shifted her position, and took off.
"All wings report in," said a voice.
"Red One, standing by," said Wedge's voice.
"Red Two standing by," said Luke.
A few more pilots she thought she recognized checked in, then she said, "Red Five standing by," said Nelissa.
Reia bit her lip, then said, "I'm going out there with them."

Reia nodded, then told Leia, "Begin evacuation procedure, and keep it quiet." She grabbed her helmet and raced to the hangar. She jumped into a fighter and launched immediately. "Red leader, standing by," she said.
Nelissa jumped. "General?" she asked.
"That's right," said Reia, "Now let's get out there and hold them until we can get the base evacuated. Red Two, take the Star Destroyer on the left - draw its fire away from the planet. Red Five, follow me to the Command Ship. Red One, lead the rest of the squad in a diversion - keep the fighters busy."
"Copy, Red Leader," said Wedge.
"Copy, Red Leaer," said Nelissa.
Reia smiled. She, of course, yelled at her squad a bit, but was also fiercely proud of their leadership and flight skills.

Vader's eyes caught the new fighter that had come out of the hangar. His ship swerved out of it's formation with the others. He felt a strong surge of force with this new fighter and he immediately started coming straight at it.
(Just so you know Aerwen...that's Reia's fighter he's coming for.)

Reia cursed strongly as a fighter came up behind her. [HEY! The two best pilots! lol It's like Barbossa and Sparrow....  ] She swerved and spun through the blasts, then thought to herself, 'I know him...I'll use one of my <i>new</i> moves.' She suddenly pulled up and slammed on the brakes - Vader's fighter flew right under her. She got behind him and locked on him. [HAHAHAHAHA seen Top Gun, anyone? lol] _________________ <center>

Vader's destoryer easily swerves to the right and spins out of view from the fighter that was after him. Out of the sky it then dives down to a dangerously fast speed and crashes into Reia's fighter, knocking off one of the wings clear off on her fighter. Some damage was done to Vader's destroyer in the process, and a dark cloud of smoke came out from under his engines.

Reia swore loudly and pulled away. Suddenly, the fighter next to her burst into flame and began to spin away.
Nelissa let out a yell of delight as she took her finger off of the trigger. She had slipped behind Vader and fired on the engines - he would spin more than a lightyear away.
"Good job, Red Five," said Reia. She looked at her monitor and said, "I'm done - I have to go back."

Luke shot at The star destroyer, making it catch him. He glanced out the window, mostly by instenct, and yelled into the comm-link. "Red leader is down!"

"I'm fine, Luke," she said, "I think I can make it into the base."
"It's too risky - you need an escort," said Wedge.
Reia sighed. He was right. Anyone could follow her, and she wouldn't be able to maneuver properly. "Alright - Organa, Antilles, take me in."
Nelissa nodded. "Copy that," and maneuvered slightly behind her and to the side.
"Copy, Red Leader," said Wedge. "Luke, take command of the squad."

Luke looked flabbergasted. "Me..er alright." He took a glance at the bored on this x-wing. "Alright Red 5 threw 10, take care of the fighters, 1 threw 4, help get rid of this star destroyer!"

With much difficulty, Reia managed to safely land her fighter in the hangar. An imperfect one, but safe. Nelissa and Wedge had to pull some good moves to make sure she wasn't hit again, but pulled it off. Before long, the two of them had re-launched in new fighters and rejoined Luke in the battle.
