It won't be anything involving the group. Probably people they meet up with. Although that would be a fairly entertaining match. I think Maethoriel would have upper hand though as far as fighting goes. She plays very nasty.

Aha, okey-dokeys! Speaking of which, their escape will provide some excellent opportunities to create new characters, people they meet on the road, and in Nurn. Already, my brain’s forming plots  This is so exciting!
Personally, I think Arawen vs Maethoriel might be a pretty equal match  I mean, Arawen may be young, but all her time trapped in Mordor has made her fighting pretty vicious – unable to take her anger out on the Mouth, her only outlet has pretty much been violence. Arawen’s violence started out when the Mouth would bind dark spells about her to make her attack people – and then as the years went by, she was forced to carry out assassinations without being spelled. Her experiences have damaged her, and it’s going to take a while before she’s properly “healed” – that’s what the epic quest is for! It could be called the Reformation of Arawen, heehee. Joke!
Anyhoo, once again, my apologies for rambling! I like exploring the charries’ backstories.

I know! I'm so excited for the people of Nurn. There are so many possibilities for them. It's totally fantastic.
I mean, technically speaking Maethoriel is on par with the wizards as far as abilities go. Ever wonder what that cane really does? Lol.
Not to mention she got her name because she was present in so many battles. Originally she was born Narylfiel. The only reason she's not nearly so dangerous as the other wizards is because she is more a stand in and all the magic basically drove her insane. One day I'll get the full story of her's out. But it's far too long to type. As far as battles though I'd still be totally up for watching she and the Mouth duke it out.
But I can't wait til everyone starts meeting up with each other. I'd especially like to see the reactions of some of the fellowship members to our charries. I have a feeling that Beor and Aragorn would be total besties. We already know that Maeth bickers with Gandalf like they are an old married couple. Legolas and Luthien could go plant some flowers together.

Nurn is going to be so fun to explore <3 I've got thinking about if there'll be a kind of "ruler" of Nurn. Someone put in place by Sauron, or perhaps born there - a little dictator concerned purely with his own power. *plots*
Maethoriel’s story is so interesting, maybe especially because it’s so mysterious to everyone! I readily admit that she’d be able to overpower Arawen with her magic skillz Arawen lives in an environment in which she’s got easy access to reading up those kind of powers, but she doesn’t want to go near any of it – she’s seen what evil the Mouth’s power inflicts.
The Mouth vs Maeth would be amazing! I love trying to tell the Mouth’s story. Also, using the bit they invented in the movies, that he’s blind, is fun – I’ve gone with the theory that that’s almost part of what makes him so powerful. He can’t see, so all his other senses are strengthened.
Our charries meeting the LOTR charries will be epicness! I think Will said a while ago that Beor knew Aragorn in his ranger days? That’ll be fun to go into. Tehe, Maeth + Gandalf = brilliance. Also, I have a feeling that Luthien actually would get along really well with Legolas! In a completely platonic way of course. The girl’s only got eyes for one man, teehee But seriously, it'll be awesome. =D

I'm such a fan of the little dictators that would be most epic. For some reason I picture a bunch of gypsies when I think of the people of Nurn. Maybe I'll have like a circus-esque group. And a bunch of outgoing people is just the type of thing that sets newly escaped prisoners on edge! Yay!
Maethoriel doesn't have as much skillz, but she can do a few useful tricks like the disappearing act. Some summoning and she's got a really strong mental bond that just reattached with the Valar who 'sent' her. Although, she is more of an enlisted wizard which is part of the reason Gandalf and she get on so poorly. He's not a fan of her running about with her magic unchecked. Haha.

Oh I like the idea of a crazy dictator-like leader..  To be honest, I don't have a clue how to picture the people of Nurn, but I read that they were sort of nomads and that the towns thrived through slave trade and mining. So I imagine something like an Arabian culture of old. 
And yes, I really love Maethoriel. Her arrogance is awesome and the interaction between her and Arawen is really amusing. Beör doesn't like her though.
Eeep! I know that it's still going to take some time before our charries meet up with the Canon, but it will be epic! Maethriel and Gandalf are so funny together. Legolas + Luthien will be such a cute match..  Both pretty and kind. And yes, Beör and Aragorn have been good friends, but Beör is not such a socialising person anymore. Let alone meeting someone of his past will be painful.  _________________

I think I’ll start plotting out this crazy dictator of Nurn sometime soon! Playing absolute nutters is fun sometimes. I might even think about a female villain - now that would be fun! I'll have a think about it
Since as Will says Nurn thrives through slave trade and mining, I kind of imagine the people of Nurn as quite downtrodden. So I don’t know if a circus-esque group would quite fit in with that general feeling of misery and doom and gloom? But, you never know! We’ll just have to see how it goes. Anyhoo, an Arabian-esque type of culture sounds cool. =D Maybe kind of a bit like the Haradrim? ^_^
Ooh, btw, here’s something random! Luthien’s actress, Holliday Grainger, is going to be starring in a new TV series called “The Borgias”, and that means more pics for Luthien! For example, she looks really pretty here…

Oh please do Goldy! Because the first one was just perfect, but the second one didn't work.. and I really like to request such a beautiful banner from PD!
I really miss SN..  I hope Mae can post soon, because it feels like I haven't posted for over a month! And I understand what you mean, it's because SN is so special and we're having so much fun with it, that's hard to come up with a new RPG that can match it. But personally I would really love to do something like a canon RPG during the battle of Helms Deep or so..
And a prequel of SN sounds pretty great as well, but I can't really picture how that would be working, since Beör and also Arawen have been in Mordor long time before Luthien.. So what were your thoughts on that? _________________

Right, so here are my ideas for a SN prequel… firstly, Luthien wouldn’t be in it, since it would be set about 10 years before SN. =)
I was thinking it could begin when Arawen first arrives in Mordor – I’d have to change her age in SN to twenty-eight years old, since she was eighteen when she arrived. And Beör would have been there four years. And I’d assume that Maethoriel would be there – I hope she would be, since my plan is that Maethoriel would be involved in the overthrow of a powerful servant of the Mouth of Sauron’s; this servant would be a “Black Númenórean” like the Mouth. So the RP would basically tell the story of this “coup d'état”, and Arawen unwillingly taking the place of the Mouth’s most important servant. We’d get to play out the angst of Arawen’s transformation from normal mortal girl into cold killing machine – not to mention the Mouth torturing her with magic, and forcing her to attack Beör; so we'd also be exploring the foundation of Beör's hatred for her. And also Maethoriel would, without knowing it, play a part in Arawen’s ascent to power.
These are all just ideas and brainstorming. Let me know what you think of them. Anyhoo, I'd also quite like to start a Gondor-themed RP - you know, maybe set in Minas Tirith so there can be an epic big battle <3 That'd be fun =D

That sounds epic Goldy! I really like your ideas! I think that especially the meeting between Beör and Arawen will be awesome, also because Beör back then would still have been much kinder and also filled with more spirit. That would change when Arawen crosses to the dark side though. Wow! I'm really excited! I hope Mae will also be in on this, because SN wouldn't be SN without Maethoriel..
And lovely pics of Luthien! I'm going to find some matching pics for Beör and request such a pretty banner from PD. And I need to find a fitting text.. Hmm.. 
Perhaps you could make an in-between-post in SN, Goldy? Just so that the RPG will remain alive, and I would love to be plotting on a new Beör post..

And I'm really excited for this as well..! I guess this will be considered as a closed RPG, since it's a prequel of another and requires acquaintance of the main charries?
Since it's the prequel of Starless Night, its title could perhaps be something with Dusk or Twilight? (Twilight and Shadow perhaps? )
Anyway, we first need Mae's approval, because I think Maethoriel is kind of essential for the plot..
I loved your post! It really heartbreaking to see how Luthien is trying and trying to show Beör her love, but he just doesn't see it. It will come to him, gradually, I promise. I can't wait for them to finally break free. I think that a change of scenery will make the plot even more awesome! I'm working on my reply for Beör, but I don't think that I'll finish it tonight, because I'm just too addicted to Grey's Anatomy, and I just need to watch the next episodes. _________________
