I've read The Fellowship of the Ring and the rest of The Lord of the Rings around seven times. I think it would be cool to read it in another language. I'm learning French right now so maybe I could give it a try in a year or so.

I've read the books 3 times, but look over parts at least a few times a week.

I would have never been able to read it when I was five years old. Way to hard. I first read it when I was fifth grade and it was tough then.

This is my 3rd time reading the books. I am currently on the second chapter of The Two Towers. I read the books for the first time myself when I was 13/14 (1997/1998) and then read them again when the movies came out, and now reading them sort of post-film. My mom used to read the Hobbit to me and my sister as a bedtime story when we were kids. Haven't read it myself though in quite awhile..

From the begining to the end? twice.
Opening the book randomly and reading any page(s)? uncountable times

I've read the books many times... I think four or five times since Christmas 2004 when I recieved LOTR as a present...
The Fellowship (my edition is in 3 books as I wanted ) I'm reading (and I'm also reading Book of the Lost Tales I for second time but I'm alsmost finished with it) in the moment, so it'll be my 5th (I think) time...

I think when I re-read it just before they released FOTR it was my fifth time. It had been many years since I had read it and it seemed just as fresh and wonderful as it was the first time I read it at 13. - WMW

I've read it twice, but I was sort of a new fan, since I came to read the books after the movies.
