^Of course I don't assume your old, people of all ages can teach!!!!
It is a little frustrating at times trying to explain stuff like Arwen giving up her immortality, Tom Bombadil, the Ring of Power, Suaron, and other such things but its totally worth.

I can imagine your sister needs some explenation. My brother not very often. He know the movies from inside out and understands a lot from it. But there are some things different in the books than in the movies, and the movies don't explain everything.
Hey, brego145, nice sig! Just had to say that.

5 times and I don't think I'll read it another time soon. I have already three books to read (Da Vinci Code, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and a book in french of Terry Goodkind, the first book of the trilogy of this wonderful author).

I have the same problem, there are so much books I want to read. I also wanted to read the whole Chronicles of Narnia, I'm just reading the last one. (I really liked them) and I have some books I got on my birthday (almost a year ago ) I really want and need to read. And I want to read all other books of Tolkien. First these, than the LOTR again. But I will, some day.

I don't read only parts, but I have read the whole book maybe 4 or 5 times... I forget everything in a short while and it's annoying

I loved the movies when they came out- so much that i really wanted to read the books. But when i wanted to read them was during the school year- and i had TONS of books to read and stuff to do i didnt have time to. Ive just started the Fellowship of the Ring recently, and its good so far, and i hope to read the others and then read them over again

I've read it twice, and out of all of Tolkien's books, it's my favorite. When I saw TTT on DVD last year, Christopher Lee (the guy that plays Saruman) said that he read LotR once every year, so he'd never forget the story. I think that's a great idea, and I'm doing that too.

I've read it at least four times...does 'reading' it include the times your parents read it to you when you were really little?
