Well it's actually very difficult to calculate her age because she was born in Valinor during the Years of the Trees which lasted 20,000 mortal years (or 20 Valarian Ages). We don't know when actually within that time frame she was born. If we say that she was born right in the middle, which was 20,000 years after the creation of Arda and we calculate to the date that she left middle earth then she's approximately 20,000 years old. But that could vary 10,000 years either way.

EDIT: Well now I'm looking at The Encyclopedia of Arda and it's giving different information. It says that the years of the trees actually lasted 14,325 mortal years, not 20,000 like it says it my tolkien illustrated encyclopedia. The info from the encyclopedia of Arda says that the information is taken from the Annals of Aman, which is probably more accurate than the information in the illustrated encylclopedia which doesn't actually indicate where the information is taken from. So...I have no clue how old she is. She's definately over 10,000 years old (i think) but I don't think she's as old as 20,000 years as I said before. She could be thouugh.

Final Verdict: By the time Frodo met her in Lothlorien, she had already been around for a long long long long long time.

Oh that's awesome, you have an animated avatar. I tried to animate my banners and it did not work. I couldn't figure out how to save it in the right format and ugh I wasted so much time trying Anyhoo I'm getting off topic...so did you guys know that to make Galadriel look, I dunno, different I guess, from the other character they put christmas lights behind the camera so that they would reflect in her eyes.

Actually Elenriel Greenleaf did it for me...I don't have PSP or anything like it. Its going to match my animated Arwen banner once its done.......hmmmmmmmm I better go check up on that right now......sorry we're off topic.

BTW, my new wallpaper on my computer is Galadriels eyes, it looks cool but also kind of creepy at the same time.

I had her eyes as my wallpaper for a while too but then I used different pics of her and also had Luthien for a while and a while back I had Arwen and Galadriel.
