lmao sorry about the caps in the title but I am just SOO happy!!
Despite me being dreadfully sick (bad cold, sore throat and cough) I went all the way to Gothenburg anyways (little over 4 hours by car from where I live) to the Scandinavian Sci-Fi, Game & Film Convention that was being held there. My younger brother Erik joined me. There were only a few people in line for the Craig Parker signing so we went there first. He was so very nice and polite. He asked if I was having fun and I said I had just got there, and he was like "oh, so where are you from?", I said "A little south of Stockholm" and he went "Bloody hell, that's gotta be like 6 or 7 hours away from here!" and I went "No, more like 4 but yeah still!", he said "Did you go here by train?", I said "No by car, our dad drove us here!" and he went "Oh wow thank you guys for coming. Have you been to see Elijah yet?", I said "No we're going there now" and he said "Oh well, join the queue!" hehe. Then I asked for a picture together with him which he gladly posed for and that was that. hehe.
Then I joined the Elijah line which was huge. Appearantly everybody wanted to meet him, hehe. After a much long wait it was finally my turn. I said hi and he said "Hi, how are you?" all polite looking me in the eyes and everything (I could have jumped him right there and then lmao!). I asked if it was his first time in Sweden and he said it was actually. I asked him if he liked it and he said "I do. I love it. I just haven't been able to see that much apart from my hotel room yet though", I said "You should come to the Stockholm convention as well!" and he said "Oh yeah? Where are you from?", I said "From here - Sweden, close to Stockholm" and he said "Oh wow you have no accent whatsoever!", I said "yeah, I get that all the time" and he went "you sound like you're from the States!" and I said "well yeah I've been there a lot, I've worked as an aupair there and stuff. I've even been to Iowa" and he said "Oh really? That's really cool!". Then I asked if I could take a picture with him and he said sure. And then the lovely encounter was over hehe.
After that we checked around some more, saw all the authentic movie props they had there and then called for dad to come pick us up. I had an excellent day (apart from me being so sick lol)!
I'm still pinching myself to see if it's really true!! Wow I've met four LotR actors within a little over 4 months (John Rhys-Davies and Lawrence Makoare in late October).
Yeah I would have stayed with Craig also hehe. Weeeee I'm so happy!!!
