David Wenham is in this movie and he is so funny ^__^ he's one of my fav. characters in the movie! Now my family all knows im the best at calling out the names of the actors in TLOTR that are in other movies but because i watch Van Helsing last night i thought i would just go ahead and put this one in here. and if i see another movie with any other actors/actress from TLOTR trust me i will post it lol. But on the other hand did anyone else see this movie? and what do you think about Davids character? i would like to know

I enjoyed Van Helsing it was the cheesiest movie ever - but I enjoyed it and I don't care!
I was particularly impressed by the enormous character change from Faramir to Carl that David pulled off, particularly bearing in mind the comical aspects of Carl. Mind you, having seen some of the horrible characters he has played in the past (Lenny in Pure - aaargh!) perhaps I shouldn't have been surprised.
And the hair! Although apparently that was a compromise as David did not want to spend the entire shoot with a tonsured head. I just wonder why the budget didn't stretch to a wig with a bald patch in the middle!

Van Helsing is one of my all-time favorite movies, fourth only to LOTR, Matrix, and Star Wars. The part in VH where I think Carl looks most like Faramir is when he's just about to hit the baby vampire with the bucket.

Van Helsing is one of my favourite movies ever. David's role was funny, and my 13 year old aunt just loves him. I'll have her post something when I see her again..
And yup, David played a friar in it.

Personally, I thought the effects were kind of bad, the plot was kind of weird, the romance very odd, and the ending very corny. But I have to say that I loved David's character, the friar, Carl. He provided the humour in the movie, and I like many of his lines like,
Van Helsing:Your a monk, monks aren't aloud to curse.
Carl:No, I'm a friar and I can curse all I want, damnit!
(I really hope I don't get in trouble for that...)
I also liked Dracula! I can't remember who played him, but I thought he was brilliant!!!

I really enjoyed Van Helsing, even though it got ripped apart by the critics. Pfft who cares?
Hugh Jackman was brilliant, he can do no wrong in my eyes.
Kate Beckinsale was great too, and looked gorgeous throughout.
Daisy was so funny as Carl.
I haven't watched it in ages...might have to dust off that dvd soon.
Mmm Hugh....

I really did not like this movie; it was incredibly cheesy and pointless, in my opinion. A good laugh though
