There's a new trailer out for the Da Vinci code film which unlike the last one actually gives us clips from the film. I think it's looking good though I'd have liked to see more of Ian McKellen in it - though I know he'll be excellent. I'm also starting to think that Tom Hanks might be good in it.

I'm really not looking forward to this film. I'm not looking to start a religious discussion or anything, but I don't agree at all with the way the book/movie portrays the life of Christ as though there were some "secret" to discover. Again, please no discussion, but I think this film is an all-time low for Hollywood.

I just take the book as an enjoyable page turner that's not very well written. I don't take the ideas in it seriously - well appart from looking up the last supper picture on the internet.
It does annoy me though when people talk about it as if it's fact - most of it isn't at all - especially when in my Philosoply tutorial where I'm sure a guy was getting his facts he was saying from it. I really wish I'd challenged him
Anyway I think the book might work quite well as a movie.

The book was amazing to me. All though, the ideas i don't go all crazy about. But i just want to see if Hollywood can pull it off.

I loved that book !! I think the film won't be as good as the book, but I think the actors will play a good role in it!! Paul Bettany as Silas is a very good choice, isn't it?

I think Paul Bettany was an ideal choice. From the brief clips I've seen in the trailer he looks amazing as Silas.
Jean Reno I think is perfect for Fache...he'll capture his essence perfectly
Tom Hanks was the one I was worried about, not being a huge fan. But I think he'll do well.

The book is awesome.
A real roller coaster ride of suspense, mystery and intrigue.
It's a book that will translate very well on the big screen.
I can't wait.

I love a good mystery. I'm just sort of afraid that the directior will spend to much time discussing one topic of Dan Brown's book and not equally focus on every amazing thought process that was written. (Hope that wasn't too confusing)

I can only judge on the trailer and the pics that have been released.
But I think Ron Howard has a fairly good grasp on the material.
But I guess only time will tell.
