Is it necessary to put the code [img]before%20an%20image%20URL%20and[/img] after? Someone told me it was not, and so I quit using it. But, I still use it when putting images in my sig. I guess my real question is- Is it necessary to use the image code when putting images in my sig?

I'm not an html expert, but I am pretty sure that its neccessary when putting images in your signature, because you may notice that some people just have links in their sig, and that is what happens when you dont put in the html code. The same thing goes for when you are inserting an image into a post-- if you want the image to show up in the post, you must use the code, but if you just want to link to the image, you don't need it. I hope that answered your question!

Yes, i'm almost positive you have to use the code. I've tried using it without code before, and it dosn't work.

You dont have to use the tags for a link tho. as long as it has the http:// before it, you dont need tags..... But you do for images
