I have a suggestion, that we limit the contests to a number per month that can be held and people can claim a spot to hold a contest so the contest section wont get to crowded.

I agree! Its always hard to remember what contest youve entered, when it falls to the second page.
I am not trying to add more work for the mods, but we should have a request and a management thread like we have with the clubs. so like, we request a club, and then i is added to the list of contest, with Due dates and ECT. I hope that make scence.

^Huh. It sounds like it would be more confusing - especially for mods. And there's no problem with the contest section getting crowded, if they all have participants competing. That way, there's enough for people to always have something to enter or vote on. Lots of people like to make contests, so the list could end up being booked for months, and that wouldn't be very convienent.

I agree. For those of us who enter contests we don't find it a mess or confusing. If people who pass through simply to look at entries find it so, it is not them who use it. Personally the RP section is a mess but as I never fo there what does it matter to me?

Yeah but some people hold contests then decide on the winners by themselves ... they dont let other people vote ... so does that need work? =\

Well...if that's in their contest rules, it's okay...the entries still get judged, just by the host. I've personally never seen that before, it's almost always traditional voting.

Maybe another idea could be that you could only host one contest a month?
I'm not sure if people even host more than one a month, so my idea is probably useless

I agree with Johnny's Fan. If people have the time to run more than 1 contest a month then they should be able to. If this were restricted then there might not be enough contests for everyone to enter as lots of the contests limit entries to 8.
However if someone is starting multiple contests and then not finishing them then please PM a mod about it.

there was one ... the A-Z bands contest. it was there for a long time and it sort of faded away

I agree with JF. I don't think the number of contests needs to be restricted, but I think that some of the contests that never put up awards, ect., need to be taken care of. I guess there's not really anything anyone can do, though, except to PM the host or a mod....
