The End....
A lot of things were changed this year for the Hallowfest from the first year. One most prominent aspects was the fact that it was two weeks instead of one.
Did this work better in theory or in reality? What do you think? Was it still going too fast? Impossibly fast? Or faster than you would've liked to enjoy the 'fest?
I also added the idea of winning challenges to be exempt from guesses. Do you think this is fair? Do you think it makes it more interesting? Why? Why not?
Were the clues easier to figure out this year, now that most have had experience under their belt? Were they still too obscure (this being ones that weren't red herrings)?
What other things did you like about it? What other things did you not like about it?

I (obviously) loved it. I really think the two weeks was a good idea. The only problem was it made the killer a bit more wary, as she had to dodge people for two weeks instead of one. Of course, I loved the idea of being exempt from guesses. I think it was nice to have the challenges simply as something else to do, and it could be a clue to see who makes an effort to be exempt. Yep.
The clues. The clues had to be red herrings or less obvious for the simple fact that you can't give too much away. I personally thought they weren't too bad, definitely more obvious than last year's clues. I also think having the separate headquarters thread was a HUGE help. We could discuss the ideas without having random RP stuff in the middle. The chatroom was also a good idea.
And I really really love the idea of accomplices or killers who don't know they are killers.

I thought it was awesome! I wasn't here last year, so I don't know how different it was, but it was still amazing.
I liked the two weeks aspect of it, except that some days it was so slow that I didn't even want to post. I think the length helped more people get involved, but some days didn't having anything going on, and that made it slightly boring.
I definitely approve of the idea of winning challenges. It gives you something to look forward to, and brings another aspect to the 'Fest.
Now for the clues. To put it simply, I am HORRIBLE at figuring out clues of any kind. I have no idea why. *shakes head* I got really confused sometimes due to that fact. I liked the outline of the day, which made suspicious things easier to figure out. (Love ya, JF!) Reading other people's posts helped me figure out the clues, which was definitely a help.
I can't wait for next year!!! Teh Bubbles shall return...

I think every change was for the better.
Two weeks worked out perfectly. Enough time to spread out the fun and it gave everyone time to be able to check in during the week or the weekends, whatever worked out the best.
The challenges was a great idea. I tried to make a mental note to myself to look into the exempt guests to find clues. I was sure the killer would be exempt once if we were close to guessing her... but alas... I like the way the challenges can be used strategically, even though you didn't do it this year, to exempt certain people - and like Bubbles said, it was a nice amusement!
Also, I really liked the themes and activities for each day. It took me through the grand tour of American Halloween traditions, so enlightening! I loved the pinata-slapping in particular!!
*echoes Nurr* Having a seperate Headquarter thread worked out beautifully and was a great help to catch up on the important stuff - and so were JF's summaries.
No comment on the clues.. really, I'm a horrible detective, never watched a murder mystery in my life, never read Agatha Cristie... But I'm sure we could have figured them out, they weren't impossible to work with. Next year!!

Personally, I thought the Hallowfest this year was a blast. I have to say it was better than last year's... although I had fun last year too.
The challenges were a unique idea and they looked like they were fun (I didn’t get to participate in any… wasn’t on at the right times, I guess. Oh well ). They added a little more to the overall fun and feel of the Hallowfest. Especially for times when no one was dieing and there were no clues or anything. Also who doesn't like to be exempt from being accused of murder? lol so that was a great idea! Kudos!
I really liked that it took longer to get through. That was great. Although for me it still went a little fast. Not that I have any good ideas for how that could be avoided again, it really can’t be. But still, even if there wasn’t anything critical happening in 4 out of 7 pages it was still daunting to come on sometimes and have to somehow jump into the commotion. But adding an extra week to the 'Fest helped, I think. It at least helped because there wasn't something critical happening every day even if it didn't help keep you up-to-date on the little things that were happening.
And as far as the clues go. Well, I, like Ea, am terrible with figuring clues out. So yeah. there’s nothing that can really help me there. Lol
Oh, I’d also like to comment on the way it was set up and organized this year. I thought you, Kit, and JF (and whoever else worked on it, if anyone) did an excellent job this year. I liked the mini-bio things a lot. It helped the Hallowfest and the clues to be more personal (or misleading *gives Nurr a dirty glare )* and overall I liked JF's summaries and everything. It was all nice and orderly. kudos to you guys!
overall, I am pleased with the outcome, happy I was able to be a part of it, thankful to Kit (and JF and whoever else) for making it possible, and I can't wait to do it again next year!
