tha large community is a close second, but I chose the interactivity because I love not just having tons of people here, but getting to do different things with these tons of people. Polls and contests are definitely fun ways of getting to interact with people you'd otherwise never do anything with! *waves to members on the other side of the globe*
The friendliness is also very unique and appreciated. The large gallery is especially handy and I love Arwen for it!! *thankies!* There are, overall, tons of reasons that keep A-U unique--which is the unique-est thing of all!

i said the interactivity, i remember when i went to another site before i found a-u and there was only one thing that was fun and it was a weekly thing (quoting a pic) and the forum wasnt so good, almost non-existant. at a-u we have a whole bunch of contests, clubs, request threads and polls such as this one. theres alot to do

I think that 2 of the things that make A-U unique are the layouts, and the number of people who visit A-U. The layouts are always beautiful and I can't wait to see the next one. (((get to work on the next layout, Arwen! I want to see what it looks like. ))) And I think it's amazing how many people come to A-U. Every time I've gone on the chatroom or the tag or the forum, there's always been someone else on there, (((except when I went on the chat after the site had crashed last year. . .))) and people seem to have a great time here. When I go on some other chatrooms, there won't be anyone on it. I think A-U's an excellent place for both.

I agree, this is one of the most compleate LOTR sites that I have ever seen. With so many things to explore on the site, it keeps people coming back. (Like me ^_^). The friendships that we make here keep alot of people coming back as well.
