I had to put other. All the choices were valid to be sure, but I think the friendliness and sense of community is the most unique thing. Most other forums are cold and unfriendly, but just the welcome I received was overwhelming. Great all around, for newbies and oldies.

Truly astonishing how this site is 90% 13-17 year old girls. You wonder how it all happens.

The layouts! They are splendid!!!

Definitely the many sections to explore. I've hardly seen any other fan sites with so many different topics. But I think the large community is unique as well as the layout and the photo galleries.

I think the atmosphere makes this forum unique. I've seen other LotR forums and people are just flaming and nagging at each other. this is the number one forum!

I'd have to say the large community, the many places to explore and the graphics. Its just a more "Mature" site does that make since? you can tell its been around the block a few times and it gets better everytime!

The lovely graphics, layouts, and the way the forum is divided. Also the large choice of emoties and the different ranks.

EDIT:There's also the signature size. The Dancing Lawn(my primary forum-although this one's getting more usage from me...) only allows one banner with a size limit of 550 x 250, or visa versa. It used to be bigger...
