I would really like to start making my own textures but I don't know how you go about doing so. I would presume you don't go using other people's textures to make your own! :D So what exactly do you do?

Any help would be greatly appeciated! :-)

Actually, all you really do is do a bunch of random stuff. :D Here's a tutorial that got me started:

Another way is to have a photo or some random stock picture and edit it in every way you like.. then play around with layers and filters and all the good stuff :)

Thanks for that Antigone! :D I have been using LOTR images and things I've found on google.
