Has anyone else seen the newest episode?
I'm glad they dealt with Dr, Kroger's death, but it made me so sad.
On the bright side, though, it's great to have Monk back!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEK.
I'm SOOO angry that the place I'm living at now doesn't have proper cable. So no Monk (OR Psych) for me. BAH! Not that I would've seen them last night ANYHOW. (YAY BATMAN!)
So they deal with his death right away? WOW. That just makes me sad. But I've seen a little blurb video on TVGuide about it. I just didn't think it was right away...
I SUPPOSE I could watch it online. XD But I just don't have time right now. XD
AWWWW! Teh poor JF hash not seen teh series 6! I've been eagerly anticipating the return...but when I found out it was same night as TDK, there was no way I would've see either. XD

Well, if you want spoilers...
Monk is being particularly OCD and complaining about noise from his neighbor's piano (which is actually quiet and quite pretty) when the show begins. He talks to Natalie about how it's so hard now not being able to talk to Dr. Kroger, and they discuss how he died of a heart attack with no warning. Monk tries to find a new therapist (they only show one though past attempts are mentioned.) The new one (played by...erm, what's his name, Hector Elizondo?...the guy from The Princess Diaries) points out that the music might be annoying Monk because it reminds him of Dr. Kroger. (It's the same composer that he played in his waiting room, Chopin.) Monk denies this, and is so distracted by the noise he buys a new house. (Which, conveniently, there was a murder in.) Afte a series of escapades in the new house involving a murder, Monk moves back in to his apartment, and we see him opening his window and listening to the music with a smile, seemingly having come to terms with Dr. Kroger's death. The episode ends by focusing on a picture of Dr. Kroger from Monk's home and the credits include 'In Loving Memory of Stanley Kamel' first thing. By the way, Monk remains with this new therapist, who was a friend of Dr. Kroger's.

I definitely agree.
The episode wasn't entiely devoted to Dr. Kroger, which was nice in a way, because it allowed us to focus on him as much as Monk's reaction.
And, I know, I can't believe he's gone...the show really won't be the same. It didn't seem the same, seeing Monk in the new office. I don't know how that's going to work out--I don't think it's ever going to feel normal.

So, I got to see the episode last night. FINALLY.
It was REALLY good.
Monk buying a house. Such fun. I couldn't ever really believe he'd buy a house. For one reason, and one reason only: TRUDY. No way was that ever plausible for him to be there. XD And I say that because I am reminded of some episode that the Captain stays with Monk or something, and Monk was straightening up his house but made a BIG point of keeping the coffee table thing crooked just like Trudy did. So, there was no way I was gonna believe that he was going to stay in that house. XD
It was REALLY sad without Stanley/Dr. Kroger. At the end with the piano playing and Monk opening the window and then the pan over to Dr. Kroger's picture. *DIES* Oh my god, I kind of lost it.
*SIGH*
Well, I'll be interested to see how this new therapist plays out. I suppose it'll be like losing Sharona and having to come to terms with a new assisstant/nurse, only 100 times worse. BAH.
Johnny's Fan wrote: Hope you get to watch it soon Monty. At least US websites let you watch things.. it's madness how international people can't view US episodes on sites. And vice versa.
Yeah, I find that whole thing to be absolute craziness! I mean, the Torchwood website won't even let non-UKers even VISIT it. *headdesk* And if the BBC just made their videos available to EVERYONE then there would NOT be this sneaking around to YouTube and other such sneaky places. If I were in the UK I wouldn't NEED to be online, that's how faithful I'd be. But apparently these stupid people (especially in the US) are too stupid to realize that.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWwwwwwwwwwwww
Man, I haven't even seen series 6 yet. I was only saying the other day, that I know the writers don't still want Monk to be going for another 20 series but I was kinda hoping more than just eight.... it's like the only American TV show I watch and actually own on DVD. [My brother is an American TV show freak but we won't talk about that]
I kinda figured when they did end it, Trudy's death would be cleared up... but still it makes me sad... I was always hoping Sharona would return.
I wonder if it is anything to do with Dr. Kroger and the fact another original character has gone? There are so many things they could do with Monk, I'm sure it's not lack of material.

Oh man...that makes me really sad! Monk is such a great show....and now its ending. *sniff* Well, at least they'll clear up the whole Trudy thing. That will be very satisfying.
