From Will's perspective at the time, yes. But in AWE he understands that she did it to save him (although he still was upset with her for not telling him), and obviously by the end of the movie he had completely forgiven her.
It is not the same as Elizabeth deciding to abandon him for someone else and betraying him forever. What Elizabeth did for Will in DMC was mostly for him, abandoning him would be for her.
