*takes a shovel and digs out the club thread*
Hey guys!
I'm back again. I'm really sorry for my long absence, but uni really took away almost all of my time lately. However, I should have two completely uni-free weeks now, so I guess I'll hang around here a bit more again.

But then, since it's basically Arwen's life force (or at least that's how my LOTR-crazy friend explained it to me when I watched the movies for the first time), would it still be around after she had gone? I read a really beautiful, bittersweet fanfic once that suggested that Eldarion knew the exact moment when his mother died, because the Evenstar shattered... Although I like the idea of it being an heirloom in movieverse as well. That's actually a really neat idea! You're welcome. Hmm, I haven't thought about it that way yet, but you might be right. Wow, that fanfic sounds really interesting. Do you still have the link? I'd really love to read it. ~ladyofrohan* wrote: ohhh i will join!plz........ Welcome to the club, ladyofrohan! *goes to add you to the member list* RDM wrote: Jeez I've been away for a long time...Thankfully it seems I'm not the only one So, hi again ya guys! Okay, if I've got this right you're talking about Arwen in both LotR movies and the book...Well, I think they both have they're good sides as well as the bad. I like that Arwen in the book is a strong woman who makes things happen for herself (I wonder if I'm saying this right?) but in the movie it's nice to see Arwen more v...(Omg! I can't remember the word in english so if anyone knows what 'haavoittuvainen' means than I wouldn't mind that person telling me^^ I'll put it here when I remember) and I think it shows more of her struggeling with her love for Aragorn. (I have no idea if some one's said this before 'cause I'm lazy and don't have the energy to read your posts with thought...but I hope you don't mind ) ~ RDM
Great ideas, RDM! I agree with you that both Arwen versions have their advantages.
Well, I've read some news about the Hobbit-movie on the internet lately. They're speculating that Viggo might be in again. I think having Aragorn in the movie would be a wonderful chance to include some more parts of the Tale of Arwen and Aragorn. Do you think it would be possible to put some new A/A scenes into the Hobbit and if yes, which scenes should they choose in your opinion?

oh, wow, I had almost forgotten about this club. but anyway thanks for pulling it back up, Rose! It's great to have you back too! (although I've already said that in the WT)
hm, I don't know about having Viggo back... in a way I'm ALL for the idea, but it also seems... strange, you know? I mean The Hobbit story is about Bilbo and the dwarves and Gandalf and bringing in so many of the LotR characters and element might ruin it. But I've also heard they will be making two movies? One, The Hobbit and the other one would be like an in-between one taking from the A/A story and telling it out and also taking from some of the other stuff that happened in-between LotR and The Hobbit. And I must say I like the idea of two movies better... that way they won't be squeezing a bunch of other stuff in The Hobbit when the movie should be about Bilbo and the rest. but that's just my two cents on the matter. I really would love more of the A/A story told though... I just don't know if it would be right to have it in The Hobbit.

*brings back ancient, mostly-dead club*
^And Aragorn was about 10 years old when the events of The Hobbit happened, so he wouldn't even have met Arwen yet. Sorry to stomp on your guys' ideas...

I like they're going to make the Hobbit, but what's the second one going to be about?

Hello everyone. I was just lookin' up what clubs I was in, and this was one of them!
Does anyone have info in The Hobbit movie? I've been tryin' to figure stuff out, but it hasn't gone very well.
