Just thought I'd pop in and say hi, now that there's a new thread . Alatáriël Telemnar- Welcome to the group (and the fandom 8]) ! So, the usual questions— Favorite Doctor? Favorite Companion(s)? Favorite season(s)? Mine, in order of each question, are Ten & Eleven jointly (followed, in order, by Eight, the War Doctor, and Nine); Donna & River jointly (followed by, again in order, Clara, then Rose); and, in order from first to last, S4, S7, S6, S5, S3, S2, S1. Also, what do you think of Peter Capaldi being cast as the new Doctor? I'm personally really excited to see him in action, mainly because he's such a great actor, and being a huge fan himself & someone who's watched the show from its beginning in 1963, I think he's going to give us a very unique take on the character . Nienor Níniel- Hey there ! So, have you seen the Christmas special yet? If you have, what did you think of it? I personally liked it, and thought it tied up Eleven's arc & story really well .

Hello everyone. I would love to answer the questions for sure; unanswered question is something The Doctor hates. Favorite Doctor(s)?As arranged in order and I would just say my favorites and what they means to me; 1. The Eleventh; he would be my best friend, the man I run to when I need to cry and wish for happy when I only shall fell like a child because adulthood is boring . 2. The Tenth, I would just want to marry him *sigh*. 3. The ninth would be my brother and keeper of all my secrets. 4. The war doctor, I would want him as a grandfather and may be have afternoon tea with him. 5. The eighth doctor; he would be a great date for the opera house or better takes me back in time to attend a first opening of my favorite opera. Favorite Companion(s)? 1. Donna and Jack Harkness comes in the first place (yes baby) . 2. Amy and Rory Pond. 3. Clara. 4. River Song. 5. Martha. 6. Rose. Favorite season(s)?I feel the first five seasons are a complete series of there own; they even had a closer so from 1 till 4; I love them all but the season with Donna was the best. For the eleventh doctor seasons I love the fifth season and the seventh. Favorite christmas special(s)?1. A christmas Carol. 2. The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe. 3. The End of Time. 4. The Unquiet Dead. 5. The Runaway Bride. (because of Donna). Favorite and saddest regeneration(s)?1. The tenth. 2. The elevent. 3. the ninth. Favorite original Doctor Who song(s)?1. Wake up (The long song) from “THE RINGS OF AKHATEN”. 2. Vale Decem from The end of time. 3. Abigail's Song from A christmas carol. 4. Song of captivity and freedom 5. Song for Ten by Murray Gold from The end of time.

Nienor Níniel- Wow, really =[? Why such a long delay? Alatáriël Telemnar- It looks like we have a few favorites in common. Cool 8)! As for my favorite Christmas special, I'm going to say "The Doctor, The Widow, and The Wardrobe", followed by "The End Of Time", then "A Christmas Carol". I've never really thought about my favorite song(s), but I agree that both "Wake Up" and "Vale Decem" are two of the prettiest ones . It seems the regeneration that saddened us the most is the same, too. At about what point in that sequence did you start crying (if you did)? For me, it was the point where Ood Sigma said, "We will sing to you, Doctor. The universe will sing you to sleep." I'd been able to hold it together up to that point, but the combination of that line and the music finally did me in, and the tears flowed from that part of the story on (though oddly enough, Matt Smith's first few minutes as Eleven were so funny that I ended up laughing through my tears).

Cause I'm not living in the UK.. cause it always takes six months (or a whole year) to show Doctor Who's new seasons here.

My favorite quote is probably "That's my timey-wimey detector. It goes ding when there's stuff." It's not the most emotional or endearing quote ever, but for me it captures a huge part of the Doctor's personality. Plus it's exactly how I would explain something like that

I agree with both of you but my all time favorites are:
"Doctor Who: The Rings of Akhaten – The Doctor’s Speech" "Okay then. That’s what I’ll do. I’ll tell you a story. Can you hear them? All these people who lived in terror of you and your judgment. All these people whose ancestors devoted themselves — sacrificed themselves — *to you*. Can you hear them singing? Oh, you like to think you’re a *God*. Well, you’re not a God — you’re just a parasite, eaten out with jealous, envy, and longing for the lives of others. You *feed* on them. On the memory of love, and loss, and birth, and death, and joy, and sorrow…so…SO…come on then, take mine. Take. My. Memories. But I hope you’ve got a big appetite. Because I have lived a LONG life, and I have seen a *few* things. I walked away from the last Great Time War. I marked the passing of the Time Lords. I saw the *birth* of the universe and I watched as time RAN OUT, moment by moment, until NOTHING remained — NO TIME, NO SPACE, *JUST ME*! I walked in universes where the laws of physics were devised by the mind of a *mad* man. And I’ve watched universes freeze, and creation *burn* — I have seen things you WOULDN’T *BELIEVE* AND I HAVE *LOST* THINGS YOU WILL *NEVER* UNDERSTAND — and I know things. Secrets that must never be told. *Knowledge* that must NEVER be *SPOKEN*! KNOWLEDGE THAT WILL MAKE. PARASITE.GODS. *BLAZE*! SO *COME* ON, THEN!!! TAKE IT!!!! TAKE IT ALL, BABY!!!!! HAVE IT! YOU. HAVE. IT. ALL!!!!!!!!!!"
“The Time of the Doctor” "We all change when you think about it. We're all different all through our lives. And that's okay, that's good. You've got to keeping moving. As long as you remember all the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this, not one day. I swear. I will always remember when the Doctor was me."

I'd like to join the club As for quotes, besides those you mentioned, I like also for example: People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect. But actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey... stuff.- State your name, rank, and intention. - The Doctor. Doctor. Fun. Wilfred: I'll watch out for you, sir. The Doctor: You can't ever tell her! Wilfred: No no. But every night, Doctor. When it gets dark, and the stars come out, I'll look up on her behalf. I'll look up at the sky. And think of you.and much more, too much to list ;]

It's Doctor Who, there's always too much favorite quotes to list.. Doctor's little speech from the blink episode That's it, I'm afraid. There's no more from you on the transcript. That's the last I've got. I don't know what stopped you talking but I can guess that they're coming, the angels are coming for you. But listen, you life could depend on this: Don't blink, don't even blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast, faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back, don't look away, and don't blink. Good luck. Hey, who turned out the lights??
