I've never actually seen that actor in a movie- just heard his voice in Ice Age. I'm glad Zoey Deschanel (sp?) is going to be in it- I like her!

I'd never heard of Mark whatshisname before now. I'm not very "up" on movie actors. lol I've only seen Zoey Deschanel in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, so I'm sure she'll have an entirely different role in The Happening. lol

Mark Wahlberg's older brother Donnie actually played Vincent in the Sixth Sense (some trivia for ya), and Donnie Wahlberg is in a current TV drama with John Lugiazamo who is also in The Happening.

Elenya: Me too! I haven't seen Zooey in a lot of stuff but I adore her in Elf and Hitchhiker's---it's going to be different if she's going to be doing mainly a dramatic role.

The cast most worrisome to me is Spencer Breslin... because his acting has never appealed to me.

Yeah, he lost quite a lot of weight for that. He was also in a band in the late 80's early 80's called New Kids on the Block, and he was also in Boomtown, hat got cancelled after like 1 series.

Mark has appeared in quite a few film, the Planet of the Apes and the new Italian Job to name a couple. I've only seen him in Planet of the Apes, and I didn't think he was the best, so I'm not too sure about his casting.

I've never heard of this Spencer. But I trust M. Night. He's had perfect casts so far.

I should give Spencer the benefit of the doubt----I suppose the only reason why I don't like his acting is because his character are never ones that I like.

I'll have to give him the benefit of the doubt, as I have no idea what he is like.

Which title do you think has been the best for his films? I'm kinda leaning towards Lady in the Water.... and then probably the Village, as it tells of a location... but you have no idea what to expect. The Happening is an awesome title though.

hmmm, personally I find Lady in the Water a great title as well--- and then The Village yeah. I completely agree with you.

Signs is probably the worst of his titles but it was such a good film, it didn't matter. Whenever I hear the title Sixth Sense it gives me chills, so .... xD

Signs is probably the most boring... but it actually makes a lot of sense because of what the film is about.

Lol, you're just a wet lettuce really aren't you?

*ahem*

Sorry.

:eyeroll:

We nearly ruled the world... and we shall do again... and spread our British phrases across the globe... muahuahauahau[cackles...hack..chokes]

I think his films are more "oh, my gosh, I jumped at that!" rather than scary. But I can understand why certain aspects would be classed as scary. There were a few parts in the Sixth Sense when the ghosts appeared... *little puddle appears*

M. Night Shyamalan does have that kind of traditional, classy way of scaring the audience. That sudden subtle-ness that makes you jump because you never expect it.

Sixth Sense, it's more of the fact that they're GHOSTS, who wouldn't jump at that. Signs it was less subtle, but y'know--- you hear the aliens and feel them most of the time but you never SEE them until near the very end.

Lady in the Water --- oh my gosh, I hated Lady in the Water, I ALWAYS jumped at the sprinklers, no matter what, no matter if I've seen it thousands of times and expect them, THEY WILL ALWAYS SCARE ME.

Oh and when the beast type thing jumped out from behind the camera in between the door before it closed.

The Village, the only time I jumped was when they showed Finton looking down through the watchout-staircase doorway and sees the red figure hurry across.

Personally, my favorite title was Unbreakable. It describes Bruce Willis' character, but it doesn't really tell much about the story.

The sprinklers made me jump too! I wasn't expecting them the first two times, then I was bracing myself the third time it was that shot. I was not going to jump! Then the sprinklers didn't even go off! lol The wolf thing- oh, Scrunts! (I just remembered what they're called. lol) scared me too, when it jumped through the door.

I jumped when the beast- thing goes under the tower too. I can't remember the exact moment, but when Ivy's and the creature are in the woods at one point, my brother nearly jumped off the couch. lol

Unbreakable sounds cheesy for me... xD I'll have to see it.

I think Lady in the Water portrays a good jumpy-moments film but it also has a mellow humor to it. Like when Vick and his sister were arguing with each other, and when the Critic found Cleveland face first in the cement ground clinging onto the lawn chair when he was trying to get away from the Scrunt.
