I think the relationship between Legolas and Galadriel is really sweet. He seems like a wise elf, but compared to her, he obviously yields to her the authority in age and wisdom, and she respects him, but she is also kind of motherly toward him, in the movies especially, when she says, "Worthy of the skill of our woodland kin," as Orlando was talking about, it was like a little boy and a christmas present. 
I also like how they were able to distinguish between the Legolas and the high elves in the movie. The elves from Rivendell or Lorien are more majestic and dramatic in speech and movement and wore more rich and warm colors and long cloaks, while Legolas, the only wood elf in the story, appeared more wild and untameable  and wore greens and browns most of the time. Yet all of the elves in the movie did have a slight similarity to one another, despite their differences. It's like Sam said: "There's elves and there's elves, if you take my meaning." (Might ha' worded that wrong.)

I know...I've been so busy in RL it's difficult to find time to check my e-mail....I've been trying....
Legolas is dying......he needs ALOT of help in the voting department....I don't know how but Haldir has pulled ahead we need to keep it going....

ur right we need 2 get ppl to come back to the Legolas Fan Club!
i adore legolas.my fave thing about Lego would probably be his incredible skill in battle.that,rather than his looks,was the thing that really got my attention the first time i watched the movies.
and Miriel i know what u mean about the wood-elves being quite different to the others.Lego is a brilliant character and though he is as elf-like as the the Rivendell and Lorien races he acts slightly different yet he is like them at the same time.

I agree.Maybe this difference is because the Elves from Rivendell and Lorien are somehow more connected to Valinor...
Talking about the Silmarillion and the First Age of Middle-earth:I don't know why but Beleg and Legolas seem alike to me.I still can't say exactly why.Maybe is because of the way the characters are loyal to their friends.But I'm still trying to explain myself why I have this opinion. _________________

Well, anyways, check out this picture.

Notice anything weird about it? Legolas isn't carrying anything! All the other fellowship members are loaded down with packs while Legolas' hands swing free! This is not just incorrectly protraying him as inconsiderate and selfish, it's ridiculously unrealistic.
I'm sure they wanted to emphasize the fact that he can walk on top of the snow, for goodness sake, are they that helpless? Animate some stuff on his back or something!
Did anyone else notice this?
