this is so pathetic... I've been lingering on this forum for the past hour or so, refreshing Sharky's End every twenty minutes...

I do that, only I refresh it every 5! :P

Well, I don't normally refresh it, I suppose--I just haunt other areas of the forum, too, looking for a topic I can respond to while waiting for someone else to post. :D

My A-U path tends to look like this:

Sharky's End, for a LONG time.

Wander away, to Mirrormere (then back to Sharky's End to check), Michel Delving (back again) and The Green Dragon (back again) and meander around House of Bombadil.

The Hall of Fire and Numenor if I'm bored and then one more check...

Glittering Caves, and the Old Forest and Dwimorburg if I'm not in a hurry, and if nobody's posted at all by this time I get antsy so I go and refresh Sharky's End a couple times to make ABSOLUTELY sure nobody's there.

On the rare occasion that a) someone interesting isn't on MSN to talk to (heh, LDM), b) nobody's posted in Sharky's End, and c) none of my siblings have come around demanding a turn on the comp, I now go to catch up on my sadly neglected email. I'm a nerd, I hardly do anything except A-U.

Lol, Meldawen--The Glittering Caves is generally the first subforum I go to after Sharky's End. Normally. Sometimes I go to The Green Dragon before it.

Melda, you flatter me :D it's Sharky's End first for me, then Glittering Caves, Green Dragon (I lurk there but I usually don't post), Golden Hall, Michel Delving... with random rpg intervals in between. if I feel especially lacking in a life that day, I drift off to go read some rpgs on another forum or I end up rereading Crystal. otherwise I end up finding something worthwhile and altogether too neglected to occupy myself with.

By calling you interesting? Meh, I could say quite a bit more :P

I will occasionally end up rereading Crystal too...generally my favorite bits, and then by the time I'm done something distracting has happened, so it's all good. And if I'm exceptionally bored out of my mind I will tiptoe into KTTC and try to avoid any really blatant spoilers. But this makes me rather on edge cause I'm scared I'll find out what happens, so generally I stick to A-U.

My computer schedule usually goes something like this-
Sharkey's End, Caras Galdhon, back to Sharkey's End, Glittering Caves, Sharkey's End, House of Bombadil, Green Dragon, Sharkey's End, Osgiliath, Sharkey's End, Old Forest, Sharkey's End...
And that's only if I haven't used up all my time in Sharkey's End. lol
There are about 2 other websites besides A-U that I try to check everyday. lol

For me, it's Sharkey's End. Then Glittering Caves. Then back to Sharkey's End. Then back to Glittering Caves. Then over to House of Bombadil. Then back to Sharkey's End. Then Glittering Caves. Then Numenor. [repeat process a few hours later] :)

Gah--just so you guys know, I'm not going to have a lot of time to get on the computer this week (an hour, more or less, until Friday), even for researching for my huge school project, so....I'm probably going to be a little absent for the next few days. I'll get on and post in the RPGs when I can manage it, but don't expect it to be too often. And just fyi, I don't mind people powerplaying my characters, as long as they think they can get the personality right.

*hands out random pokes* Has everyone voted for Idea of the Month? I shall come after you with an insanely sharp pencil if you haven't :)

I'm beginning to think February should be called Month of Utter Lack of Motivation and Creativity. Or Month of Banging Head on Desk.
