Hmm. Can't say I've seen any movies lately or read any books with awesome villains in them... unless you count teh Voldy-mort. But that is not a topic we shall discuss for it will only lead to spoilers.

Oh, yes, Voldemort. Ralph Fiennes, I think, did a good job playing him. Does anyone remember his other famous role? Amon Goth?

Oh yes! Besides the fact that Ralph Fiennes is wonderful in nearly every role he plays, his part as Amon Goth was fantastic.

I have never seen Ralph Fiennes in a film. Unless of course you count voices in animated films. ;)

Do you prefer villains that are unique to a film or book, as opposed to villains based on a real life person?

Hmm....mhmm..... mind you Tavington was based loosely on a Tarlington who was known as the Butcher.... so I guess it just depends really.

Mm.. I was thinking of him as well, but wasn't quite sure if he'd been based off a real life figure or not. Good to know that he was.

I think I'd have to go with film or book too. They're easier to see the how's and why's of their evilness and their thoughts. Whereas real life people, it's a bit harder to do that.

Really? I've read the book Vengeance, and I did intend to see the movie, but I had no idea Christopher Lee was going to be in it. He always does seem to play the villain, doesn't he?

No I don't think so. He isn't going to be there. I checked the cast list. Not unless he's going to appear in the sequel.

Well then... I thought not, as I would've recognised him in the preview I saw at the cinema. *shrugs*

I've never heard of it.

Ah, yes who could forget another British actor who excels at playing Villains, Christopher Lee. I think he can be a bit hammy at times, especially his earlier films, but he was great as Saruman so I can't complain.

What are you're top 3 favourite villains or just general not-too-good-good-guys?
